I have now made a picture of the second revision of the vcf board available at the gallery. This has some minor layout changes and also a "cleaned up" silkscreen. I'm having serious trouble fitting it all in there, so if anyone would like to have a go at it, I'll send em the eagle files ;).

I'm super interested in these. Will definitely take 4 boards when you've got them. Can pre-pay if it helps w/ development costs, etc. Will stuff proto boards and test, too, if you want.

      Thanks!

Any new news on the filter boards? My ssm's are taunting me :)

  4. 9 years after buying my M-audio midi keyboard, I read the manual :D, and discovered that I could transpose the notes directly on that controller. Man, would've saved me a lot of mouse clicks @ gigs if I knew before. Lesson: 1: Read manual. 2: Read manual again. 3: Read manual and make sure you have understood the manual. 4: Have fun.

  5. About all schools in the district is closed, I have 80cm snow in my garden. No chance of digging out the car at all. It's only a coincidence that I had to stay home with sick kid today, but I would never make it to work today anyway. I hit the snowy streets with my backpack and actually walked to the grocerystore. Took tons of pictures - super nice! - Snowfall 12.12.12 will never be forgotten!

Hehe, this kind of snow is extremely rare in my area - I live by the coast of south-west, and here we're lucky to get 15cm or so, and even luckier if it doesn't rain away the same afternoon. So this is extraordinary. The former snow record for this area was set in 1961. And yesterday that record was broken in a massive way. Now I wait for the blizzard to wear off, and the rain to start sometime later tomorrow! :)

I'll gladly ship some to your front yard! My whole property is full of white shit! And I'm sure it will all rain into some dirty slurry by the end of the weekend, and the piles will not rain / melt away for months. I told missus, when the blizzard / snow fall is over I'm getting a big tractor down here and transport away all of the shit. Don't need a swamp in my garden the next 6 months! So - yeah - u can have some! A lot! :D

Hehe. Yeah, i know - jet engine is the right word - and u can heat a cold cup of coffie if u put it next to the hot-air-vent. My laptop is a new dell i7 - was about the most powerfull I could get from Dell when I got it some months ago. But Inventor is the first thing I have seen that makes it go all hot like that hehe. I was trying to learn Inventor as I have background in Solid Edge - a slightly different workflow, but very nice. I also drawing up some gm5 cases hehe - but I can't submi...

  11. Anyone interested in Waldorf knobs? One way or another there is going to be a smaller bulk order, so just PM me if your interested and we'll fix some knobs.

  12. Anyone up for another bulk order for Waldorf knobs? If there is interest, and the price isn't doubled since the 2011 bulk order, I can guarantee I'm in for at least 100 knobs.

      technobreath

Cool. I have learnt that a bulk order takes time to mature in midibox community hehe. So that's why I took the initiative - I am not in hurry - have knobs enough for a few projects :)

  13. As some of u have noticed, I'm rarely inside here these days. This is not because I am tired of you guys, or think less of midibox. It's simply because I am in the process of selling my current house, and moving into my grandma's old house (she died a month ago) - this means a lot of work. Extensions, + total renovation of the old part of the house. I'll be on IRC when I can, and show up here from time to time, but for a time now, I'll be busy with house stuff :).

sounds cool, but unfortunatly, newhaven hasn't got my choice of color. Need it to fit with blue/black, and either yellow or green combine well with those... :). If there only were white character displays to get somewhere... Else I'll end up with a 20x4 lcd... I'll give myself a little bit more time now to find a suitable oled, but if not, I'll get a lcd off ebay.

    3. jojjelito

      jojjelito

Reichelt have some white OLED(s)! Search 'em :) But alas, no 20x4 in white from Electronic Assembly yet.

    4. technobreath

      technobreath

Tried searching for em at reichelt, 2x16 only for white ones it seems. too bad. But if no, I will buy a 2x16 LCD with white characters on black. And when I can get white ones - I'm sure they are comming, and if they are compatible - I'll just swap em. The enclosure module for the buttons and LCD is going to be one part seperated from the rest of the enclosure, so worst case, I will just have to make a new enclosure for the LCD if it doesn't fit... But of COURSE - Keep hitting me w...

  19. Come home from work, say hi to kid and missus, and go upstairs to the studio to do something about the sudden strike of inspiration that hit me on my way home. And I hear from downstairs: Are you going upstairs now? we dont get to see you? I says yep. Simple answer to a tough question? :P

Hehe. I soldered most of the mb6582 in the livingroom. So I know the answer to that - there's a reason why all my electronics gear and studio gear ended up 2nd floor :P. So I guess it's with her as with most women - they "want both" :D

Im thinking about having a 19" panel made.. just have the controls over to one side.. the dead space behind the other part of the panel would be where the aouts and filters get mounted. I'm wanting everything to fit in a rack so I can transport it w/out too much effort...

    3. technobreath

      technobreath

I have also thought of doing a rackmount, but I scrapped it as it won't fit my gig needs very good - I need the controls in front of me together with the master keyboard, and that doesn't work too good with a rackmount. But I might consider doing a rack mount for the FM when I build that.

Yay! Julian F makes kick-ass high quality panels :) Have fun!
