electrodancer
Hey people....ive just recently finished my TPD (track position display) And now i want to build the Button Led Matrix. Ive seen there is a gerber file online for the BLM and i want to see if there is other people interested in a pcb (or pcb+partskit) for the BLM (4x16). (i prefer to do small batches (max 10 or 12)...so be quick) !

electrodancer
okay noted...it might take me some time cos im working on some other projects (2X Gssl compressor) and also got my holiday coming up!
electrodancer
the price for a BLM pcb would be around 60 Euro (shipping not included) but will take some time to look for cheaper manufacuror !
borfo
I'm assuming you're making Ilmenator's 4x16 pcb? I'd be interested in a PCB that fits standard tact switches, but I think those marquardt switches would make it a bit too expensive for me. They're definitely pretty switches though. Altitude
you're going to need to buffer that serial line if you plan on running a cable anything longer than a few inches Edited July 4, 2014 by Altitude
ilmenator
you're going to need to buffer that serial line if you plan on running a cable anything longer than a few inches On my build, the cable running from the SEQv4 control surface to the BLM16x4 board is around 25cm long, the one going from the BLM16x4 board further on to the TPD board is around 50cm. No problem here so far.

electrodancer
im thinking it might be better to wait a bit..cos im low on funds too....after the hollidays...would that be better?
Alasdair Moon
I was thinking of using those http://www.reichelt.de/Eingabetaster-Digitast-/DT-6-SW/3/index.html?&ACTION=3&LA=2&ARTICLE=7241&GROUPID=3280&artnr=DT+6+SW instead of the Marquardt ... they should fit if I pitch the second pair of solderinglegs ... would make paneldrilling much easier ...
electrodancer
will these fit on the pcb ?
Alasdair Moon
well, when I have the PCB I will test it ... spacing between the two poles is 5.08 mm like the marquardt have .. problem is that one has to cut the second pole pair of the ITTshadow ... and that the poles are not centered like the marquardt so the pushbuttons will be slightly de-centered .. Phatline
bevore christmas would be better i think - holiday time is soldering time... first thougt - it would be easier to change the pcb - is there a link to the files? well, when I have the PCB I will test it ... spacing between the two poles is 5.08 mm like the marquardt have .. problem is that one has to cut the second pole pair of the ITTshadow ... and that the poles are not centered like the marquardt so the pushbuttons will be slightly de-centered .. Well ... easier for electrodancer would be if I simply use a drilled solderingboard for those Switches :D cool would be to have one PCB that has both connection possibilities ... The Gerberfiles are here http://www.midibox.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=16x4blm_pcb
