kogz23 Posted March 29, 2018 Report Posted March 29, 2018 (edited) Here is a clip of the Midibox drum Sequencer driving a TR-9090. I have one issue. When in Live mode most of the drums do not trigger manually. I have a feeling it is because velocity is not being sent as well. Any ideas what I am doing wrong? Thanks! TK. Posted March 30, 2018 Report Posted March 30, 2018 Finally!!! :) I will look into the velocity issue soon The board that I built some years ago is still functional and I typically show it to MIDIbox HQ visitors as one of the unknown projects that the community started but never released :) Best Regards, Thorsten. alzart Posted March 31, 2018 Report Posted March 31, 2018 Is there a PCB for this drum sequencer somewhere, or how did you do it? Just the 9090 seq? Quote
flyweight Posted April 23, 2018 Report Posted April 23, 2018 This is awesome, I also have a TR9090 set of pcb's. Doesn't the TR9090 have a midi to trigger that is able to handle velocity? I mean are you triggering from the sequencer from midi or are you using gates? Quote
kogz23 Posted April 23, 2018 Author Report Posted April 23, 2018 Hi there, It is triggered with a combination of a trigger and an accent. Thorsten changed the firmware so it can provide individual accent levels for each instrument, like the 909. So the sequencer can handle velocity. As for pcbs I kind of lost my way with this project. I was going to make a few pcbs and make a project out of it but life and other similar looking projects kind of dimmed my motivation to do that. I have eagle files for the pcb if you want them. The firmware obviously here somewhere too. Best Al 1 Quote
gerald.wert Posted April 23, 2018 Report Posted April 23, 2018 I would be interested in the eagle files. I have not built a drum machine yet and it would be nice to replace my roland tr8 with something built. Quote
Antichambre Posted April 23, 2018 Report Posted April 23, 2018 (edited) Hello, I'm interested in the software, I've got a Yocto 1, the bad point with this machine is the low quality pots and the ATmega firmware. I resolve the pot problem by replacing it by 808 original set, was not easy not the same size at all! But I founda way ;) Now it remains me to put a good sequencer inside, a MB one ;) Best Edited April 23, 2018 by Antichambre Quote
