i was just looking at your photos on flickr, and: i've seen one of those huge flying insects in france! i thought it was a humming bird at first (till my girlfriend was proved right!) but i think it's a type of moth. did yours hover?

ps: excellent buttons too! ;D

Thank you Pedro. I can make you some custom buttons if you like. Contact me with details.

Hello Sasha,

I am planning to make Pioneer djm 800 and cdj 1000 clones (with MIDIbox64e), and your approach () to make illuminated buttons seems reasonable for play/cue, effect and cue buttons like Pioneer stuff has.

Only question: what material is this? There are lots of “Acryl†types, what particular do you use?

I think something is available in our local stores (e.g. http://www.tuplex.lt/en/reklama.htm), but would like to be more sure before starting to hunt materials and someone to cut it right (BTW is there similar material easier for cutting in home conditions, I mean without laser :).

Thanks in advance,

Zygis

Now that I have seen what Ponoko can do, this looks like a perfect thing for them to make and their "Opal" material looks almost identical to Sasha's. So Sasha, which of your designs works best in your opinion? Which one offers the least required clearance between the underlying PCB and the front panel?
