nILS
Being in Europe doesn't prevent you from ordering from Smash ;-)
julianf
No, but, in a lot of ways, its easier to order from someone on the continent you live on.Can anyone confirm (or otherwise) the original question?
nILS
Can anyone confirm (or otherwise) the original question? The answer to the original question is yes.BTW, if you have a paypal account there's nothing easier than ordering from smash.EDIT: BTW, I'm in Europe, too ;-)

nILS
True but that does not mean Mike is a bad seller or anything.Oh, I believe our posts were far from saying anything like that - just to make sure: Mike is an awesome seller as well with good quality products, but there *IS* stuff you can only get from Smash. PICs are not really one of those things though.

cavey
just get yourself some account over at microchip.com, and sample the PIC's (got loads of pics that way, ranging from the original 18F4520 orsmth, to the newer 18F4685, and some 16F's for other projects, and the ram chips :D) just wait a long time in between orders and write up some nice description for whatever bogus project they might want to know about). You'd need to bootstrap them yourself though... nILS
Umm ::) Sampling from Microchip is a nice feature, but please, please don't overuse it... If you can afford the PICs - buy them.

Yes, it's been mentioned before on here that if they see lots of samples going out and not many big orders that they may get the impression that it isn't worth carrying on manufacturing the chip.
