  1. Which firmware will you be running? The only one for an LPC17-based controller is MidiIO128...the features, or, "limitations" are called out in it's wiki page. That would be a good place to start.
  2. Hello friends. I have a question regarding the use of LPC17 with MBSEQ. Is anyone using this setup to send gates/triggers via J5A/B/J28? If so, do ALL your gates work? I am using this setup (with TK's 74hct-base 5v level shifting circuit) and I've got everything but gate 1 working. This is pin A0 on J5A of the LPC17 core. I have done everything I can think of to make sure that the problem does not lie somewhere else, it seems that gate 1 simply does not work... Is there any way to test this pin (like the way MIOS studio can test gates on MBCV?) Is there anyone else using this setup who can confirm that it does indeed work?
  3. The spacers needed are as follows: 50mm from bottom to wilba PCB (I used two 25mm stacked) 10mm from wilba pcb to top The Wilba PCB is about 1mm thick, so for the six holes around the outer edge, you will use 11mm standoffs on top of the 50mm standoffs so that they are all the same height.
  4. Hello, I would like to build a step display that is more than 16 steps long. Ideally it would be constructed with inexpensive LED matrix. I want to configure these in a way that I can see a very long pattern without having to page back and forth 16 steps at a time. Is it possible to configure the hardware in this manner without having to modify the firmware code? Also, would this be overly complicated to run off of the existing DOUT chain (since Wilba's CS is already using some sort of matrix pinning) or would it be easier to use the 8-bit core and BLM firmware? If anyone can clue me in as to the best way to accomplish this, I would really appreciate it!
  5. Got an S3000XL today! Looking forward to using it with MBSEQ!

Old-school sampler. Those can be bargains...

yeah, had one before, sold it to get an mpc back in the day and I really missed some of the advanced synthesis features from the s3000

Hah! Just picked up an s3200xl a few weeks ago to use with my seq! It rules, have fun!

  6. Did you see the insane amount of standoffs and spacers I used supporting the faceplate? Its probably MORE rigid than sammich

  9. Yes, I need some as well. 16 to be exact!
  10. you can do it, but I think you'll want 40x2 character lcd's - and you'll want four of them (four faders per screen) I think you'll do good building 2 midibox LC's
  11. I will take some better pictures with a real camera, and write a full report when I get home tonight. For now here is a preview as promised:
  12. Hey! You can control 5 parameters on MBSID with analog pots, Joystick, or CV in etc..., I just wanted to point this out. You CAN use 5 CV INPUTS with MBSID - they will control the 5 items from the "k Note: I think these analog ins are only expecting 0-5v not +15v - -15v so some sort of buffer may be needed.
  13. ponoko panels were damaged in transit... not happy!!!

not good - would they have fit the mbseq or did you send them back at once?

Suxxorz! Will Ponoko offer a replacement?

they sent replacement and I was able to glue the broken ones so it's ok!

  14. The BLM connector occupies one set of midi in/out, so this is not possible. If you need more i/o check out the i2c midi module for up to four more midi outputs
  15. they are 220 ohm, but please allow me a bit more time before etching your own pcb,as I'm having problems with mine.
  16. yes, you can hook 5 potentiometers or controll voltages to control mbsid
  17. If the Aout LC is going to be installed inside the Midibox, you'll need a bipolar +,-, 12v supply
  18. where can I order an eight-pack of sids also?
