  1. All you need is a trackball - they're commonly available from computer shops and Ebay. I have two for old ADB bus Macs, so they're not that rare. My post office has one on the office supply shelf for $50. Then de-case it and mount it in your MIDIBox, running the USB or PS/2 cable out the back. Trackballs on ebay.au
  2. Il y a trois voix per Sid, mais un filtre.
  3. The great thing about wind gennies is they keep charging through the night ;D DoofDoofDoofDoof
  4. Any empty cases?
  5. What PIC version is on the cores?
  6. If you google for MIDI xylophone solenoid, you'll see an example.
  7. There must be a timing oscillator or crystal on there somewhere you could change? Or you could download Syntendo
  8. Wikipedia says:
  9. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110059097877 Plus knobs, switches, power supplies etc etc etc C'mon stryd, you know you want to...
  10. Not really an answer to your question, but with the two extra wires you could implement DC power ;D
  11. Thorsten, I have played that video over and over. I agree with the comments about the track too - nice piece! I have a small question: given the limitations of the PIC you're using (the new one if I remember right), what are the theoretical maximum x and y dimensions of 1/ a LED and button matrix 2/ a LED-only or button-only matrix? Thankyou.
  12. That's ridiculous. I have a 1995 model Ericsson smartphone that works like that,
  13. In .au - $79 start. He has another.
  14. More on the Hydra Sound System:
  15. Brilliant device! The name doesn't work for me though - maybe MIDIbox SynthEdit or Patcher or something? GLCD is just the display, doesn't really reveal the function.
  16. I'm sure I've seen dedicated frequency to voltage chips around somewhere
  17. So do I. OMG - they're in Melbourne?? WHERE?
  18. I removed some of my own posts because they were irrelevant. If you and ilmenator want to remove your replies to the now-gone posts, you can. I noticed that rack desk the other day. Seems only the bigger stuff like that is pickup only; I'm bidding on the valve pre-amp!
  19. BTW I've just come into a large supply of LEDs with right angle legs. Should be arriving in a week or so.
  20. Indeed. There have been some promising developments
  21. Thanks stryd! Nabbed em both. You installed Firefox 2.0 yet?
  22. No, the DX100 is a 4-op FM, monotimbral (one voice at a time) and polyphonic (many notes at a time)
  23. While Googling for suppliers of RTV silicone in Australia I found lots of hints online in model-making and cinema prop making circles. Seems like others have found Dow Corning silicone sealant ideal for their purposes. I'm thinking of making a mould for an 8x32 button array out of that or the RTV silicone.
