  1. Ahahahahah we ordered too many and the thing EXPLODED! :o
  2. Well we can get them, but not in green like that. would be nice for it to match the PCBs. Does the store have a website or email address by any chance?
  3. Yeh, forum hasn't gone down for me at all, ever since the updates :)
  4. Who on earth picked that music, it has nothing to do with the dance... hmm.
  5. Nice. Where did you find that green vero?!
  6. Precisely :) Because we are not in the EU the rules do not apply ,but any other international transfer costs as much...
  7. Only if hey don't search before they post ;)
  8. It works! :) coming soon to 8 screens near you :) [me=stryd_one]does the "it's working" dance![/me]
  9. Follow my instructions on the wiki - install pageant and that will go away :) Will be in the chat in about 30 seconds ;)
  10. Err, those pins are meant to be separated so that the DIN and DOUT modules can sit on the same physical chain. Maybe you cabled it wrong? Although I seem to remember smash reporting an error like this on one of his boards, maybe it's that? You need to count the pins backwards Re: DOUT pins backwards? ;)
  11. [me=stryd_one]prepares to help some extra newbies[/me] ;)
  12. Yeh, I have been trying to convince MTE to use the new structure... he's having a bit of an attack of "fear of the unknown" but I think we'll give it a shot this weekend and I'm sure he'll be pleasantly surprised by how much easier it is! While I'm talking with MTE, we'll make an 8*LCD version of the driver, and he can learn how to upload to SVN too :)
  13. Err you might have missed the point though... I'd try a SID emulator VSTi and an FM VSTi (Like NI's FM7) and see which one you like the sound of - they're VERY different animals!
  14. IBAN/SWIFT is the european standard for international bank transfers. In my experience it costs nothing for the receiver and costs me about $50 in transfer fees to send to them :/
  15. Yeh that'll work...but uhm....how about knobs with pointers? :)
  16. So, those pictures are a DINx4 and DINx3 module.
  17. I'd use a height of 8 leds per meter;, makes it much easier, as your chips are all 8 bit. Have a search around at existing implementations for hints.
  18. Well, the vregs are intended to be 'all or nothing', but that's only in theory. In practice they have a drop off slope which is very steep. If you give them enough input, they output 5V (+/- a tiny bit) all the way, and then suddenly nothing, and the core switches off. At this point, the amount of power required to run the regulator drops (because your core is not doing anything) and it powers back up. MIOS studio will tell you that you have an unexpected upload request, rinse, repeat.... If you're really unusual, the power will be just enough, then you'll light a few leds, and it'll drop, and the core will BOR (Brown-Out Reset) and restart before it powers right off. BOR happens but not often (and much less often these days since a mod to the threshold a while back) If you're a total freak and have the luck of a one leafed clover (me), then it'll sit in the sweet spot inbetween working properly and a BOR, where it's not enough power to make it work cleanly and not low enough to cause a reset or a power off. In the history of midibox as far as I know, that's happened to two people, and I'm one of them. It's rare. So yeh I still think you were right the first time cimo. Pablop: you mentioned that which pots are too low, changes from time to time... is it a random spread, or are they groups of 'neighbouring' knobs?
  19. closed source, I didn't know that about edrum! Err that's a shame :( Learn mode it is I guess :/
  20. Bummer :( There's a search on the wiki for compatible LCDs on eb*y :)
  21. They're just turning off then, not resetting... Yep. Do you have a heatsink on there? Got a meter? Is it possible that the current draw might be too high for a single 5v@1A regulator? Judging by the LEDs alone and assuming you have the correct resistor values on them, I'd say they're unlikely to cause it, and the next highest draw is the LCD. I'll ask again... how do you go with the LCD backlight disconnected? Anything else connected like a fan or anything that might use heaps of juice?
  22. tandy maybe but only the biggest DSE will have it I'd say (maybe online? you might wanna look for tubes too). Try altronics or jaycar or something... There are a few of us from Melbourne Sydney Brissy Adelaide... I think that's it... Wilba DrBunsen /Tilted/ myself and a few others live within a 30minute radius within the Melburn suburbs. Where are you again?
