  1. How do you think I got this postcount? ;D
  2. Yeh it's good to have you aboard swinkels :) Oh no I broke my stealth!
  3. OK someone has to say it, it might as well be me. Please read the entire thread before you post! :) Yes, I know there are like 1000000000000 posts, and it will suck to read them all. But it's only gonna get worse if we post without reading, because the same question gets asked, and the same answer posted, more than once. Plus, it's very educational ;)
  4. 452? No.
  5. Up until recently I would have rated the 1010, but it seems like ever since Avid bought M-Audio, the drivers have been slow and press has been bad in general... There are drivers that are being released at the moment, I would hold off for a bit, and keep an eye on blogs and their support forums to see how they fare.
  6. I wasn't gonna bother with this cause I don't like techno much but it got so many good reviews I thought hey.... 7 minutes remaining ;) I think that was a statement rooted in ebonics :) IE African American slang Shit = Stuff Eg: There's shit everywhere What's that shit We gotta go, get your shit <cheech and chong> That's some good shit <beastie boys> oh my god thats some funky shit ;D
  7. Somehow I think you'll like my fave balanced audio bookmark right now: http://www.dself.dsl.pipex.com/ampins/balanced/balanced.htm Hope that helps!
  8. There's a couple of things worth mentioning here... V/Hz is a logarithmic scale. The math required to convert the linear output to logarithmic is too taxing, so instead we use a lookup table. Such a feature is part of the intended design of the MBCV, but not of seqv3. Whether seqv3 has enough memory available for such a feature is questionable (because the memory is used for other features). TK has pointed out (at least I think so, I can't find the quote now) that 8bit values are too coarse for smooth logarithmic output. This is no problem if it is coming from an internal generator like an LFO, or you can get 10bit from an AIN, but only RPNs and pitchbend will be smooth, all the 7bit outputs would be very steppy. (Edit: he may have been talking about inputs actually...darn where is that quote I saw yesterday?!) I'm sure there's the possibility of doing this electronically (in hardware not software).
  9. Well I don't think anyone is going to do it for you, but I'll give you advice if you want to DIY :)
  10. What help do you need?
  11. Looks good to me.
  12. I think that method has been discussed here before, as a result of the stompbox crowd doing it...
  13. Gday nrg, welcome aboard. You could easily make a midibox that could either filter out the midi messages on certain channels, or send sysex to the QY700 to mute it internally if that's possible. Regarding note-off messages, you just program a buffer that will hold the sent note number(s), and send the appropriate note off(s) when you push the button. Hope that helps!
  14. "I beta tested MBSIDv2 and all I got was this lousy TShirt" (and on the back) "And this bassline, biatch"
  15. Custom as f*** :D It looks like it could be a Nord heheheh
  16. Hahahahaha it's all good mate, I think you've made the right decision. I think the rarity of the AOUT ICs was a real setback for quite a few people, so a widely available IC is of paramount importance. Plus, I can't get samples of AD stuff here. So those chips suck. ;D I'll take a shot at a driver for sure!
  17. Refresh the thread, I posted the link and corrected myself right after I posted :) BTW: To find it, I went to advanced search, search for posts containing 'sid' by user sebo*, and selected only the 'midibox of the week' and 'midibox sid' forums (By clicking the + next to 'Choose a board to search in, or search all') The first time, I had fooled myself, and I didn't check the 'midibox sid' forum, and didn't see it, so I added that one in, and bingo. If you tick 'show results as messages', then four posts down you see: :)
  18. It was used in the SID Symphony carts, but I tend to believe the C65 rumours, I doubt they made a run of them just for that one cart ;)
  19. That's in midibox of the week already... Edit: nope, SID forum. My new Mini64
  20. Sure does! I'm using these files as MBNET 101 right now... The mind boggles.
  21. I agree! And a big thanks for attaching your code, very thoughtful of you :)
  22. Shaddup you know how many I own? ;D
