  1. LOL JayBee it's really great to see a lady around here, there's way too many of us boys! :) It's a really great original idea, and my girlfriend just loves it :) I hope there aren't too many more knobs under that dress, it could get a bit uncomfortable heheheh ::) Kinda reminds me of the heart shaped synths I've seen around since valentines :) I would love to see it hooked up to a bunch of synths making noises like birdsong and fences creaking, wind blowing etc, and turn her surroundings into song :D
  2. Yeh you bet. I had an MC50 mkII but lost it (seriously where the *** did that go?!) and dreamed of an MC80 fully tweaked, and had a q80 before that for a very short time. I don't have an MMT8 yet but it's on the eBay watch list for some time ;) I think that a linear sequencer of some sort is really necessary (theres only so much you can do with 2/4/8/16 steps etc) and the way the MMT8 works is well suited to being used with pattern/loop based stuff. Racking one up would be the bomb :D Just put it in the Miscellanous section perhaps. Or maybe I am being very naughty. ;) Moderators would it be OK to post about this here? Steven_C is that going to suit your needs though?
  3. Keep in mind that the software is only driving the router which is in fact hardware... Well it's firmware....but it's on the card, done with the card's DSP. You know what I mean ;D JACK does this in software on linux and it is cool as a M*****F***** but I don't think there's a Windows Port...Darn, nope: 2 MADI cards WTF are you recording, orchestras with a channel for each mic or what? I'm really disappointed to hear the RME's won't mix between cards, means they're off my shortlist. I think the MOTU 424 will do it, but MOTU are total a'holes. Argh. I think you should give them both to me and use tape ;D

My girlfriend is Aboriginal, she went ??? when I said "check out this didge"... "Where?" ;D We're talking in Aboriginal accents now, she's telling me the correct pronunciation of "yirdaki" hehehe I have played didj but I suck at it. I can do like 2 minute breaths, but the circular breathing thing is not happening!
  5. 4xD Quad Flanging Delay :o Wow!
  6. Niiice :) I hope you'll publish the layouts and panes for this :)

Yeh I know what ya mean hey. My situation is different but I do know the feeling: >:( ::) :-\ :'( >:( I've noticed :) I doubt it.... If you want to know for sure, use MIDI-OX to patch MIOS Studio to Reason, and play the keyboard to emulate the button presses from the midibox.
  9. Yeh MMT8's are rad!
  10. Secret filter box mox! Heheheh Don't suppose the layout is still around? :D

kris is dyslexic so it's not quite the same in his case I think. Kris don't be offended, SLP is a good guy I'd bet he just missed the post where you mentioned it. I actually forgot about it awhile back and I do understand SLP's feelings that it can be frustrating. Please don't take offense at my saying that kris, to be honest, I think that it's just because so many people are lazy about it that it's a knee-jerk reaction for us to assume that lazyness is what's happening. I don't mean to be presumptuous but a friend suggented that watching your breathing can help, because we tend to breathe in where there's a full stop. You might've already tried it and it might be useless, but hopefully that might help :) Anyway, I'd say you would be better off posting this on Reason support and user forums someplace.
  12. I knew there was a real basic yamaha one: Yamaha MDF2 Midi Data Format filer16 ch Data Recorder!
  13. Awesome!!!! Thanks for that man, I watched it right away, it really made my day at work a bit brighter. You must feel so happy right now hehehe ;D Also, congratulations on being the third person on the forum lame enough to use the marquee flag ;D The first was me hahahahaha
  14. Several? Only one I found was on the datasheet! Theres one in a book too. What are your "needs"?
  15. Follow Wilba's advice, and get a power conditioner instead of feeding junk power to your valuable equipment :) Some 50Hz hum is normal but it shouldn't be that bad... There might be a ground loop there too.
  16. You could try a Roland MC80 if you want a current model, but something like an MC50 is still all good, and for a hundred bucks a pop you could probably afford a backup unit. Likewise the Kawai Q80, and all the similar models. IIRC Akai used to make a rackmount unit that did this kinda thing too. Hope that helps!
  17. What happened, partsvendor? or are you just being a parts vendor? ;)
  18. Sounds like the problem is reason, not the midibox. Some mods were done to the cores along the way, but I won't go into that now because I'd say an upgrade would be a bad idea. If it still sends midi just like before... It's still OK :)
  19. I came across this link while I was searching for a reference.... Great stuff, so I had to share. Encyclopedia of Microtonal Music Theory The full set of scales including the ethnic ones will be posted tonight.
  20. Your Mum
  21. Never assume it's working just because it's new. Try a continual stream of midi CC's, that'll work too - just go crazy on your modwheel.
  22. Welcome aboard mate :) Click the link up there that says SEARCH and find your answer in no time. There was a discussion about this just last month....
  23. I don't think anyone wants me to punch them in the head all that much ;) Seriously though, no, and it's frowned upon to sell them without TK's permission. It's a non-commercial project. You should look around more :) There may not be a 100% complete singular document, but all the info you need is around. You don't need instructions, you need a confidence boost! :D Maybe once you have a look around, you can get to know the subject a bit better, and you might also notice some people to inspire you, and the huge number of people around to support you :)
  24. :D That last pic is poetry!! It's like the CAD rendered perfectly into real life ;D
