  1. Great news about paypal! Rowan have you already bid on some for us or should we go ahead and get them directly? I'm not bidding on any yet, but I probably will... Hey DrBunsen would you mind combining our orders to save on shipping?
  2. You'd be a guinea pig for sure... You'd be testing out a lot of additional stuff above and beyond your normal application. If you're really familiar with programming PICs you'll probably be fine, but there will surely be extra work. How much was the programmer? I might buy it from you if you need to offload it...
  3. I stand corrected!
  4. The required file format will depend on the CNC machine. Most places take DXF, but that means nothing. Your friend will need to answer.
  5. Sorry mate, it's just a short distraction.... Funny actually, you didn't say anything until we were already done :) Now, back to our scheduled programming ;)

    SIDbox

Very interesting concept :) Be curious to see specs like noisefloor when it's done.
  7. Hey Giovanni... the MBSID already has a mod matrix...
  8. Take is Steven Seagal's adopted Japanese name, when he is referred to as Sensei, people generally call him by that name, so "Take Sensei" :) Can you tell I do aikido? ;) Outside the dojo I reckon people probably just call him "Big Steve" or "Tiny" or something heheheh

    Bypass Caps

I'll do the written documentation. Give me a yell when the pics are done :)
  10. Now that's a wise purchase ;)
  11. cocoa
  12. Or one tact switch on one side of the button and some kind of fulcrum....
  13. OK plastic then :)
  14. Hi QBAS, You need a hand with adding the extra 8 DOUTs? Maybe if you could put the current code on the wiki, we can take a look...
  15. Or put a rubber grommet around it :)
  16. Hot tip: Only fight crime with crime if you won't get caught...
  17. Ahh Moebius was right... people why do you choose to fight.... OK so if there's a problem with centralising the LED location to get diffusion even, then don't fight it, USE IT :) For eg, if the LED has to be offset to one side, then use the visual effect of that positioning to your advantage, for example, you could set it up so that the LED's shine out through a small vertical slit, making a little 'comet tail' shoot out of the button when it's lit, or you could have one LED on either corner to make a kind of faded frame, or you could put an LED lighting a slit underneath the button like an 'underline'... Geez I could go on for days. Use your imagination! This is MIDIBox, you can customize... I don't remember the 11th Commandment being "Thou shalt only mount thine LED's in the middle of thine buttons"... so just because the commercial controllers do it, why should you? Think outside of the box, break the mould! :D
  18. Heh, I'd never heard of the octopus until I read that post, thanks for the heads up mate :) It sounds very much like the design for the vX was at that time :) All that other reading, I did a few years ago when I started, and took away some ideas, but basically, because the vX handles things so differently, not many of the concepts applied. By all means have a look though :) And take your time replying... But just a tip, the vX is supposed to be something -different- to the norm, so don't get too stuck in trying to replicate features from a device which is the norm ... Forget everything you know abut music, and start thinking about fractals and prime division :) I'd very much like to hear TK's ideas for the SEQv2, but it might be early days for that right now...
  19. Nice! That's the ones. Freakin expensive though, imagine a hundred of them... I could go the custom route for cheaper it seems :D
  20. Bitchin ;D Hey don't worry man, I'm like the King of slow progress. Better to take your time than to rush it and decide it's too much hassle you know... I'll be interested to try the digipots with this... I'm keen to put a sidechain on it too, so I can run the echoes though the ssm's :)
  21. You read my mind :)
  22. You are watching this item in My eBay (95 items) Great minds think alike ;)
