  1. thanks very much ive got to build my new board first so as i understand it the midibox 64e is capable of 64 rotary encoders , 64 buttons , 64 pots ,and 8 seperate buttons for control. just on one core???
  2. i dont think there is midi out on traktor
  3. yea wind turbines are good in northen europe dc powerd computers make so much sense tho all computer componets are dc powerd any way all the conversion ac-dc just wastes energy
  4. hello ive read all over the site and in the forum and i cant find the answer that i need. I built an all in one computer and traktor controller unfortunately i dont use traktor that much, i seem to be using cubase sx to record live musicians with reason rewired in. So any way ive come up with a lay out that i want to make see attached image this has to many analogue inputs for the mb 64 software which is the only app ive used so far but as i understand it the mb 64e can take analogue inputs as well as digital so may be if i turned one row of pots to encoders i could use this application so in totla how many digital/analogue inputs can mb64e have would i need to do any coding as this is my worst nightmare as im dsylexic and i make to many typos to write code.which is why ive not even used mios yet just the old version of mb64 anyway to stop waffeling incase the image doesnt insert properly im having problems attaching it the controller i want to make has 17 sliders, 30 buttons + 8controller buttons and 54 round pots. thanks in advance for the help and for the best diy project site on the net this site contains the cutting edge of computer control for music and visuals many thanks to tk and the many contributers
  5. ive got a solar powerd sound system using a car amp and some studio monitors so it can be powerd from the same bank of batteries, the thing with powering things from solar or dc sources is to get rid of as much inversion as possible so converting dc into ac then the device converting it back into dc this is the trick to making it efficient id like to get a wind turbine next to add to the solar cells
  6. i give in how about two chickens and a goat?
  7. surely its easier for the seller to ask a price then perspective buyers can decide if they want to pay it or not if you want to auction things i think theres another site for that
  8. this was made with standard pc components micro atx board, standard hardisk 80gb sata ,the cd drives are slim laptop types ,the lcd is a standard one taken out of the case the only non standard componet is the power supply its a dc-dc to allow the unit to be powerd from car battery so that it can be solar powerd.
  9. kris

  11. its the cores im really interrested in how much would you want
  12. sounds like a good idea but why power it all from your laptop i built my traktor controller to be powerd from car batteries etc so it can be powerd from solar power
  13. hope you got the photos sent to the address on bottom of gallery but some problem so if you post email adress ill send again
  14. it would be interesting to see a layout as i havent even seen traktor 3 yet but i just fineshed my 2 deck traktor layout ill post photos soon again just the controls i need
  15. thanx for everybodies help it wasnt a problem with the power supply as usual connection problems and a faulty 4051 finally im done and time to have some fun with my new box ill post some photos when i get chance once again thanx for all of your help i think sometimes leaving it going and doing something different then coming back is the answer kris
  16. thanx for the reply when you say not so clean what do you mean i can try with another power supply but its quite important to use the computer power supply so maybe there is a solution somebody knows something about thanx kris
  17. thanx very much for the response as i say i dont allways have internet so it takes me time to reply the boards are from mikes as i orderd them in europe the power supply is from my computer supply ive pretty much remade all of the solder connections on the core board and between the core and ain board and din boards the 4051's are in the first two sockets and the other two are grounded your right it was a typo jumpers are inplace and jst for the record im using anold pic and an old version of the midibox software im now wondering about quality of components im thinking about remaking as one board to do away with interconnections thankz very much
  18. Please Please Help - Im pulling my hair out now. all analogue inputs have been grounded & also the chips have been removed plus the +5v power removed from the din. I have checked the connections of the 2 pull up resistors you mentioned plus checked the values on the board also the whole core module has been checked & double checked for mistakes. I'm still getting erratic midi signals and have completely run out of ideas. thanks in advance from kris.....
  19. Have tried all the cable connections between core & ain module, also from pots to ain module with no luck. I have even removed all the chips in the ain modules grounding the relevant pins and yet still i GET A LOT OF RANDOM MIDI SIGNALS ON MOST CHANNELS. pointing to a fault on the core module maybe? - HELP I have ran out of ideas. can anyone point me in a new direction as to what may be the cause of these problems. ((( I am running the OLD version Pic with the OLD midibox 64 software ))) Thanks -Kris-
  20. yea ive nearly fineshed a controller for version2 but i figure it will still be useful as i dont need more than two decks but the emulation of mixing desk on three looks really good oh well keep soldering
  21. thank you for your helpful advice it gets a little frustrating sometimes on your own ill keep at it and let you know unfortunately i dont always have internet thanx
  22. hello hopefully someone can help me im using an ain x4 board and only using two ics so ive clamped the unused ics to ground but im still getting jitter from the pots and sliders has any one got any ideas thanx kris
  23. hey i hope some one can help ive built the usb module using the cypress smd chips all the corect voltages are being given in the right places on the board but when i connect it to the usb port of my computer it dettects it found new hardware found usb device cypress ezusb (2131q/2131s/2135) eprom missing then found new hardware wizard fineshed installing restart but it doesnt seem to install the driver so when i open the ez usb control panel i dont get a chance to download i cant see the download option i just get the message no cypress usb devices detected you may need to plug in (or install ) usb devices ive got two different types of eprom 24 lc 64 and 24 c 64 i also dont think its heat damage to the smd chip as a friend did a very good job on the soldering of two chips for me as im making two modules and its the same on both modules i hope someome can help thanx kris
  24. ive just read an article in everyday practical electronics theyve created aproject using this new pic 18f2455 looks very interesting for this project ill post it some how if anybody is interested im just finishing one of the usb modules from this site so not much use to me
