thanks stryd im not offended frustrated is more the term as im very good at face to face but written communication will all ways be a pain having to explain just sucks as well i do try to make my posts as readable as possible obviously i want people to understand what im saying some days its better than others anyway i think its the relationship of the midi-box to reason so just trying to see if any one here uses reason cant help thinking that an upgrade of midi-box os would sort it out kris

  13. hello all ive recently got my original midi-box 64 out of storage (greg board layout, pic 16 f 877,v0.30) this has given me years of trouble free fun with reason etc. but now im pluging it into my midi-box all in one to use with reason3 (recent upgrade it worked fine with reason2.5) anyway reason doesnt receive the buttons there working midi-ox receives signals from them and reason picks up the sliders and rotary pots ok . im running midi-box v0.30 on pic 16f877 im wondering if an upgrade will help the situation and what midibox os i should run (can run in this board chip)i also have a pic 18f452 if this can run in this board. i dont wont to change the board as this has given me lots of fun and is living history so i want to still use it with reason3 and cubase sx i havent even tried with cubase as im waiting for an upgrade version3 any help and advice is gratefully received thanks kris P1010030.JPG P1010029.JPG

  18. hello im trying to get my first midi-box up and running its one of the first all in one boards and one of the old chips anyway it boots fine all of the buttons sliders etc are working fine but ive attached it to a m-audio midisport and connected to my xp box with midi-ox running and i get no signal ive checked and re-checked the wiring thru from midi out to midi in on midi sport checked the usb leads etc this box has been in storage but worked fine before and hasnt got damp etc i removed the midi to usb before storage and connected another now its got me baffeled and any input on gotos is going to be gratfully received the only think i can think of is the 6n 138 opto coupler but this is on midi in not out so shouldn't effect the midi out thanks kris
