  1. sorry for miss understanding your post i hope you sort it out , the stuff on this site really isnt that complex. if i can make a midi-box anyone can regards kris
  2. hello hachiko i agree there is a lot of information but the only way is to read it, read it again and then re-read it as roger said midibox 64e or 64 is the way to go you obviously have experience with garage band so start thinking what you want to control (i dont even know if garage band is capable of midi control ) how many sliders ,pots and buttons etc use this as a starting point then read, read ,read and read again its the only way regards kris
  3. hello its good that you are keen the best idea is to read the information on the site you will probably find the answers that you are looking for regards kris

  6. makes me almost want to go to glasto again but only almost, are you doing any other festivals this year regards kris
  7. thanks for the replies nils thank you very much for that now i understand lylehaze Its the original microverb. I already have a large inverter(pure sine wave, ) id rather not use one in this situation because a)its more weight to carry in a portable rig b)they are very ineffcient, i power this set up with a small solar cell array. i might have to look for another reverb which is a shame as this one sounds good ill think about just putting 12v dc into it, i wouldnt want to damage it though it really is a good bit of kit kind regards kris
  8. hello thanks for the replys sorry i didnt give enough imformation I bought a little reverb an alesis microverb which i really like the sound of with my didj Theres no problem when i use it near the mains i have the power supply which is rated at input 240v 50Hz 10w output 9v AC 7VA (i dont really understand 7VA) The problem arises as i want to use this with my busking festival setup(away from mains) which is a battery amp, i use a loop pedal and an echo pedal in this setup that i have no problem powering from the amps 12v battery as they draw dc currents. if theres a neat simple solution to this ill keep the reverb if not il have to look for another reverb that runs off dc thanks very much regards kris

    AT LAST

Hello there I'd just like to say its amazing how far this project has come from its beginnings the developments around here are amazing. Anyway on with the subject, ive finally got someone to cut a new plate for my all in one midi-box,so after having the components for 2 years i can get on and finish it.I must be one of the slowest builders on here, life just seems to intervene some times. The original layout i made was for dj'ing with traktor, but ive found myself not using the box for this but as portable recording equipment. The new layout is for using with live muscians and mixing some beats etc from reason with them primarily in a live situation, but also as a portable recording setup. The box was built to run from 12v and i have a solar power setup to power it .While im rebuilding it im thinking of upgrading the cpu if i can find one of the amd 64x2 3800 energy effcient chips, that only draw 35w.I might also put a 19 inch screen in there as the 14inch one was all i could afford at the original build. regards kris P1010028.JPG P1010026.JPG P1010028.JPG P1010026.JPG

  22. hey lightforms ive also had the idea of making a resolume controller but not got around to it yet lots of other things taking my time it seems even more interesting for visual work to make a mixer of your own layout because of different ways of working so id be interested in any potential layouts you come up with for resolume regards kris ps i keep looking for an interesting 3d program as resolume is good but a little flat
