So, as I get, it could be configured to show the custom name of the synth, or controller instead of generic USB audio device? It sounds cool. Are the port names Thorsten pictured also stored in EEPROM?

I tried to solder each pin individually and failed. :P (probably possible with smaller soldering tip). After failure I just solder every pin ignoring the bridging, and I removed bridges with soldering wick after I finish soldering. I didn`t use any kind of SMT paste or flux. Could wick remove too much solder so it left pin unsoldered to the pad? Looks nice and clean but I`m not sure is it properly soldered all the way. I`ll see is it working today if I buy the rest of parts. EDIT: @TK That port naming is very nice! I always wanted to have naming option instead of numeration as you don`t have to remember what is connected where. Good work!

No, it is not LC application. It is MB64E + MB64. MBLC application is not useful for my controller as it is limited to just 8 analog inputs. I still didn`t start any wiring, just a few tests of button illumination. I finished 90% of mechanical construction and modules. Lack of money and time.

It is MIDI communication protocol developed by Mackie for their series of MIDI controllers. It is supported by all major softwares. You just need to chose it from the list in your software and all mappings and feedback instantly works. There is alot of info about it on this forum, wiki and all around the internet. Yes, you have jog in Ableton and yes it controls start position, but if you adjust quantization you adjust the step size of the jog. Doing the scratch is possible but with additional software like Ammobox. Check out the youtube for demo. I wan`t be doing any scratching with mine controller so I used NI Traktor to test the scratching. Never tried the Ammobox. It serves to navigate trough clips. Like you click in a clip and move the selection with your keyboard arrows. Don`t know why but some controls are shown only when you activate MIDI map function in Live, and some controls you don`t see even then and they are supported by live itself. Those functions are available if you are using Mackie protocol. I don`t use TAP function myself but I would expect Live to adjust the tempo of music in background according to your tapping. ??? How can I be more clear...? We are waiting for him to recover and back to life. I don`t know how much will it take but he want stay in hospitals for years. My ex girlfriend badly burned herself and had a skin transplantation. She stayed in a hospital for some 20 days. I hope this help you to have some clue about time we should wait. Last thing I heard from his friend that knows his parents is that he is still in hospital and he should have skin transplantation, and that`s what I already told you in PM. What do you want me to do? To go to Germany and investigate how badly he is burned? I can imagine in what condition he is. You have to understand, I`m not trying to fuck you up. It was accident, and I ask you to understand the situation. I`m responsible and already feel bad about it but I cannot do anything before he recovers and I could contact him.

HI Sllam and wellcome aboard. I`m asking myself, have you maybe register at wrong forum... We are DIY crowd here, and your first post is about pairing commercial product to another commercial product, and that don`t have anything in common with self made controllers except it is all MIDI gear. If you are willing to make yourself much better controller and pair it with high resolution optical jog, all DIY, than you should start reading. If not, i believe there are much suitable DJ tech forums where you`ll find your answers. ;) Good luck and I hope you`ll stay.

What is the limitations of this controller? (stryd`s mod) I mean, what is the number of supported i/o without sacrificing the encoder performance? I hope PIC could do much more than it is doing right now with encoder, fader and few buttons.

First he loose the job as he late on work because his passport wasn`t valid on time he have to come back. And when he got back he fell down the stairs and had an open arm bone brake, and as a icing a fire burn. It sounds like a very bad movie.

I have bad news. :'( I just received the phone call from a friend of a guy who took the packages to Germany. There was an accident. I just know there was some fire and 4 guys burned. He is in hospital and he`s condition has stabilized, but he will need to do skin transplantation. I don`t know much details but some of you German guys might know as it was in news. I believe it happened in Nurnberg where he lives. I don`t know was the fire in his apartment or somewhere else. I`ll inform you about the situation, and if somebody watched some news and knows more please wright about it.

I don`t believe it is cold war thing. We are not allowed to do any kind of trade to foreign countries. It is reserved just for export companies. For rest of people It is allowed just to send goods for "domestic personal usage". And in order to ship things that are not books, i need to fill normal declaration and wright special signed declaration, and pay for customs check. My favorite thing is when granny from customs ask me "how should I know it is what you told me it is" ??? ...fucking Serbia >:(

As I informed you earlier, the half of packages are taken to Germany from where it will be send, and half I`m sending from here. The guy from Serbian x0xbox batch offered me to send it from there as he knows how is the situation with Serbian customs. But since he left, he don`t reply on my emails nor skype. I called his friend that lives in Serbia and he is convincing me he is honest guy and he is probably having some private issues. I thought same, or I would never give him the packages, but still I expect him to get back to me. His friend also told me he arrived in Germany safe and called him after arrival, and that is all I know. Sorry, I know you are expecting your packages. I will continue to send rest from Serbia, but I cannot do more than one or two a week because customs are very suspicious and could return me the packages. I experiences it many times before. Thank you all for patience, I`ll inform you when i hear some news about this German guy.

Sure, that`s why I said you shouldn`t use the tool on a picture. ;) I soldered one of these LCDs myself without much problems. Sorry to hear you damaged it. I like those.
