I need some help about configuring dedicated buttons before I continue... I just couldn`t get where, and how to configure the pins to send direct commands. I wanted to have direct access to Utility menu functions: copy/paste/clear track, copy/paste/clear steps, clear pattern and undo.

Lemon and sugar is obviously some traditional recipe but it don`t seems very tasty to me. Suggar and nuts is something different. In one part of my country people used to fill the pancakes with mix of sweet cheese and eggs with some gridded lemon skin and than bake it in oven. :P Good thing about pancakes is that you can put whatever you like in it, just like pizza. That is why is so international.

AHAHAA I piss my pants. And what about Scots? They have very special English too.

I don`t pay a couple of hundred here for a panel, so if you are making something with reasonable size I could make you here and send it. Sure, look is less important than functionality but to me it is still pretty important. I don`t like functional women if they look bad. You know what I mean. ;)

Hey, people.. I think we went off the main course - crispy human. These are all deserts, no matter is there jam, marmalade or Maple syrup.

It is very serious topic and I think deserves separate thread. :)

I conclude that Brits and Serbs make similar looking pancake but Ausies don`t. I don`t know where from is pancake I posted but it didn`t look like a pancake to me even title said it is. Does anybody of us here know how to make pancake or we are just experts in eating it? Well, I don`t. :-[

Mmmmm crispy lasered human with hot sauce...

It is really sad that this guy couldn`t think of something cooler to do with his laser. ??? It is such a versatile machine if you have some brain. But, lot of people have money and no brain, so they do things like this. Even engraving a pancake makes much more sense. Anyway, body is only thing we truly own, and I respect people`s choice to do what ever they want with it, whether it`s tattoo, piercing or body modification.

Well, arn`t LCDs also square? :P I think who pays almost 2EUR per button (worth it), will pay some more for making the proper housing by panel service, or put some more energy to file those sqare openings. Long time ago, I used to drill holes and file 3x65mm slots (x6) for a faders out of 3mm aluminum. I really doubt it would look anywhere close to these. For "low effort" DIY, better to go with round MEC, but they are also not cheap, so...

I must agree with Koki. These switches seams of very good quality. Not cheap, but I think it worth investing in these for GP buttons as they are most abused. They feel very robust and they are silent! I was searching for datasheet and find out the model name of the button is DS-661. Exactly the same button and model as mentioned Miyima is manufactured by Mountain Switch company (what a name) :) , and can be sourced on Mouser for those of you US people. They comes in black and gray cap variants and red, green and yellow LED. Datasheet: http://www.mouser.com/catalog/specsheets/MS-100226.pdf You are welcome. ;)

Thank you.

Here are my latest panel layout. As I left with some unused space on CS PCB, I thought it might be usefull to have dedicated buttons of utility functions. I need to check out the firmware to see what should be configured to use these. The buttons will probably be the one known from x0xb0x and Wilba`s sequencer, but I`m also thinking about using same buttons (just for GP) KokiPsiho used on his Krang Sequencer. I need to buy one of those to check how it fits x0xb0x caps. BIGGER PIC:

Hey, accidents happens and accident is not same as stupidity. I was zapped many times myself, mostly because of MY lack of cautious. Same happens to you and so much other people here, but it still don`t make much sense for me to say Don't attempt this!!!! :D I would rather say... "be cautious" ;) Anyway, it is OK to warn people.

There is no reason not to work. AFAIK ProTools supports Mackie Control. As long as the software sends out MIDI feedback motor faders should work fine.

Good work. I like the way you use network cable for DOUTx4 to relay connection. I always hated seeing this message. It exists mostly to protect the manufacturers if some retard want to get them in court. I don`t believe there are retards here on forum. Parents should teach children not to put wire in the outlet when they are very young.

Here is how I cut the x0xb0x PCB. Synthesizer section is untouched and has few sequencer controls like Grayhill and tempo encoders and tempo LED. For using just x0xb0x sequencer, cut should be made above encoders, of course, and nothing of the steps below should be performed. I soldered headers directly to the MCU pads to easily make interconnection to the synth section. These cuts on both sides are done so I can drill the mounting hole in the corner and not make a short when tighten the screw.

Stryd, starter of the group administers it, so any info can be edited only by disgustingpie. It is not a forum, just a photo group.

No, there is no password. You just need to have a flickr account and click the "join the group" The group is there quite some time, and it is started by disgustingpie.

AFAIK Transistorsex was some kind of VIP project? That sequencer is not available to buy, nor to DIY, so it is like it don`t exist. Or it became available?

Braintu, what is the current status of your ClockBox?

When I opened your blog to check the details it freezes my browser. After second attempt I succeeded and find out the problem. A few meters long scroll with tiny scroll bar. And as I could guess, pictures are 2592px × 1944px (scaled to 234px × 156px) ??? Man, this is so NOT the way to do it! It is not advisable on few posts per page, but it should never be the case on such a long pages as yours. Probable the first and most important thing you need to learn before you start blogging is how to resize and optimize the images! If you really like somebody read your blog. I`d like to read it but I wan`t go to that place again. EDIT: I started to download you page and after 150MB I quit. It must be the heaviest webpage in the history of human kind :o I pronounce you as a blogger of the century, and I say too... Yeah Baby! :D :D :D

I always wondered what caps goes with those buttons. Does that dot has something with cap or it is just marker for button orientation?

Closest to 303 sequencer is x0xb0x. So you can use just it`s sequencer with your SID or any other synth. SokkOS firmware sends MIDI note and clock out and it is very good for a job. I have some fun last night sequencing Reason`s synths from x0xb0x. I liked it a lot! :) I also cut one main x0xb0x PCB some time ago to do some leveling and stacking experimentation for the upcoming mod. You can do the same, and just keep the sequencer part and use rest of PCB as a coaster. Of course, you need to assemble the part of the i/o PCB also. I`ll post some pictures when I back home. I`m definitely planing to make one-piece PCB stripped x0xb0x sequencer but I doubt I`ll make more than few PCBs as the batch running from Serbia tend to be nightmare because of the local regulations.

OK, so what are you plans, thoughts?
