  1. I`ve been struggling with this optical encoder for a while. At first I used 80 steps acrylic laser cut ring. But as it was PITA to adjust I cut new one half of original resolution (40 steps). For adjusting I used MIDIO128 as I can clearly see LEDs activity for each optoelement. In MIDIO128 everything looked right, but after I upload MB64E it don`t work as it should. When connecting the buttons to MB64E ins and emulate quadrature it acts right no matter how I differ the timing as long as the sequence is right so I figure out perfect timing isn`t critical. I shoot this video to show you the sequence. To me it look right. ::) What should I do?
  2. Great! that was superfast. Surely it worth it! Why the hell they wanted me to sell myself as a slave just to pay their enormous shipping. ??? I would be very happy to pay $25 for 2 day shipping.

    NP Simone ;)
  4. This cord looks very nice and fits perfect to the old school design, but you should really take that picture different than you did. I also thought you are crazy doing it but I read what you said later on. ;D Good work.

The guy is holding Future Retro Revolution, not controller. ;) http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&ct=res&cd=1&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.future-retro.com%2FREVOLUTION.html&ei=1cJXSNX5LITY7QWgidzoBw&usg=AFQjCNE0yXNmbw6bMebZ7lE0BN5JJMlw6g&sig2=0DAzXundVbBZjV_XxbfRtA
  6. Strange is that not much people reported these kind of problems. I didn`t noticed it before as I never did big DOUT chains. I was also thinking about trying to use ferrite beads on interconnection cables as I was thinking it might picking the noise from outside. ::)
  7. I`m having bad time with my DOUTs too. It worked OK before with 1 or 2 modules but now, when I have 4.. same thing as urban_soul. I also have 100uF and 100nF capacitors even i never use it before for 1 module. Soldering seams OK. I tested each module with DOUT testing app and everything worked OK. I noticed that length of interconnection affect this issue before, so I keep the wires very short. I`m too pretty much sure it is some kind of ground problem or such as touching the PCBs with fingers stabilize it. DINs seams much more unforgiving in longer chains than AINs, even I would expect other way. What is left for me to try is to use bigger, 470uF instead of 100uF capacitor at input and see will it help.
  8. It`s not just core. And you cannot add a bunch of faders in LC. You can have just 8. You are missing some basic knowledge about MBHP, so it is better start reading or people will simply start ignoring these kind of questions.
  9. Watch out not to catch some rave flue again. ;D ;D ;D
  10. Great! :D Finlay. Thanks for information. Looking forward to see the pics. ;)
  11. sure, but it is easy for you to say. ;D
  12. But it isn`t published yet AFAIK. Is it? What it takes to decode segments to single number signals that are needed by nixies? I was thinking of making some steampunk clock with individual lights for each number, very similar what needed for nixies but just plain light bulbs.
  13. Hehe, that`s the one I`m building. :D Strange it that nixie clocks are so popular and there are still no some open source PIC based design. The commercial kits are too expensive. One German guy is selling just preprogramed PIC for some 50 EUR >:(
  14. You mean these These I bought from ebay for a low price but without socket, so I started to build PCB for it out of pins frim DB connectors. I still didn`t find good nixie clock design but I build started with some design I find interesting. We`ll see. If you know some good design with accurate timing or some inexpensive kit please let me know.
  15. exactly ;D
  16. My laserman fetched the material for me. Distributor didn`t get much of it (never do ??? ) so there was a big chance to left without. But, we are safe now. ;)
  17. I would appreciate if you could send me one when you receive it and rest you can send with other parts later. Thanks in advance. ;)
  18. What are those faders from, and how does it feels when mowing. How is "wobbling factor"?
  19. Hi diablojoy, congratulations on your sequencer and welcome aboard. It looks very, very good by now! I appreciate DIY-ing of those knobs! Illumination looks very even (no spotlights). Can you please post more internal pictures?
  20. Mike, any news mate? I`m almost ready for panel production but I can`t start until I verify panel critical parts. Is there any way we can help?
  21. I just received a call from Rowmark distributor. The material arrived, so I`ll arange today with my laserman to do me a favor and pay for it trough his business account as they don`t deal to end buyers. I already bought some 3mm acrylic for sub-panels, and rest I`ll buy these days. So, very soon we can have our panels done :) But, before cutting sub-panels I would really like to verify the alignment of all components. Last critical thing I need for verification is NKK B12AB-RO switch. If some of you have this switch to send me before Prof order and send it with other mouser parts it would be great. If not we will need to wait. Same about button cap. They should be same diameter from bottom to top but still I cannot afford to risk.
  22. That music is so sweet. Very much like Postal Service. :) Let us know when album is out. Will it be downloadable too?
  23. OK, thanks all. I`ll give it a shoot soon as I`m forced to reinstall system soon so better do it right this time. ;)
  24. As you said: there is only one position left - vertical. Am I right? ;DBut doesn`t really matter. ;)
