  1. Well, I have no idea what "ol' style sloaping case" is ::) I wanted to say this controller looks like it designed to stand upright (as you answered) like modular synths, but same time I expect to see faders to be horizontal. It depends... for space saving having faders vertical could really save alot of space in small studios, but if you move the faders ofter I think having them vertical would be less conformable to use.
  2. Can you Enth or MTE make a list what exactly have you stripped?
  3. That case looks interesting and pretty unusual for controller with faders. I wants to be put upright rather than horizontal. :)
  4. Wow, it looks really nice with that knobs on that black/red/white panel. I would never tried that knobs myself. Good work t_xen! :)
  5. I`m glad you like it. Not sure about number of interested people, but we`ll see. ;)
  6. Thank you mirv for your nice words. Yes, my design. Sorry but I`m not willing to release the files for these buttons as I wanna produce some for selling. I`m preparing 2 sets of buttons - for LC and SEQ.
  7. Hey Sub, this looking great! Where are those DIN jacks with metal ring coming from.
  8. Cool. Congratulations. There is not much FMs around.
  9. Oh, maaan. Why is it so important? it don`t fit! Check the attachment. Blue lines are mine, reds are unaligned from original. You should sometimes just take answers for granted. Another thing, I`m not going to copy that design, but If you do it and send me what to cut/engrave I can make it. But only on Rowmark material. Steel you can get only row lasercut without any graphics nor paint.
  10. If you carefully check you`ll see. It is not just rotation. So, I don`t understand you about paining metal... Do you want me to cut the metal panel and you`ll do the rest or what?
  11. The reason I changed a bit ladyada design is that buttons aren`t aligned ??? So turning caps 90deg wouldn`t help. could make you panel like this one with proper holes but only out of Rowmark material with sub-panel and not meal. If you like this texture material i have left I can make it for you. http://www.flickr.com/photos/fibra/sets/72157604783882497/
  12. OMG that Geiger is so beautiful! :D
  13. I might be organizing some batch.
  14. Yeah, get one going seams not so easy. I`ve been on that website... great tube selection.
  15. I`ve been dreaming of building scope clock since I`ve seen it for the first time. Such a cool looking clock. Ofcourse it must be standalone and not just plug-in for oscilloscope.
  16. Thank you. I use only casted acrylic! I don`t believe polystyrene is good enough.
  17. Jidis, I don`t hate all blue light. The one I`ve seen on VFDs seams to me much less aggressive, but I haven`t seen LEDs with that shade. @cimo The floor is actually laminate - rustic oak. It looks pretty realistic. I love it. :)
  18. If you look at the constriction of button you`ll notice that the button cap is smaller than body of button, so it can`t fall out if machine is upside down. ;) more pix of button construction: http://www.flickr.com/photos/fibra/sets/72157604779953384/
  19. Some time ago I ordered interesting kit from share brained technologies www.sharebrained.com It is meter clock driven by TI microcontroller MSP430F2002. Very simple, coffee brake project. Even It looks very cool as is, I wanted to do extreme customization. The most critical job was disassembling meter and taking out all delicate parts so I can trim it in order to screw both meters to the panel that is going to be back illuminated for extra coolness. ;) The project is almost finished... I need back door wih 2 LEDs for illumination. The back panel on pictures is illuminated by daylight not LEDs. For more pix of building process check: http://www.flickr.com/photos/fibra/sets/72157605121536800/
  20. Some news. I received the reply from the Rowmark supplier about their stock. They don`t have the material type we need now, and they said will have it for about a month and will inform me. I`ll get acrylic for sub-panels these days. These days I`m expecting the parts from unit-sound, so I can check its the fitting against the panel I did. If somebody have any spare button cap I would need it for testing. Full set would be even better. :) About the back panel. Back panel cannot be made out of Rowmark material as it have to take much greater stress because if the connectors. It should be made out of 1.5mm metal, so I think it is the best to order it from ladyada store. It cost less than 10EUR. Meanwhile I been playing even more with fonts to see are there some that are cleaner to read. Do you have some proposition regarding the fonts, or you have some good commercial font and you are willing to change it on my file. After checking with magnifier tr909 and Prototype fonts i discovered tr909 is more precise than Prototype. I think it pays to get it best as possible before going to engraving. Kartoshka, are there some results on your side. I got only free fonts to play with.
  21. Very nice thing for recycling. :)
  22. Why to mask blue light... just don`t use blue LEDs if you don`t like it. If you talking about white LEDs ... they don`t appear any shade of blue in real life, but camera shows some bluish shade.
  23. Maan, if you know me just a little bit better you would now how much I hate blue light!!! The "blue" button you see is actually white, and looks much better in real. It was even more blue until I photoshopped it.
