Some commercial desktop etching tanks are also heated with aquarium heating. Temperature needed for etching is more less the same as needed for tropical fishes. Also air compressor is the same as used in fish tank. So, it it obvious all components are easy available and probably cheaper to make, than buy etching tank.

I look at this SID sequencer as a really cool addon, not one of the main features, even I like the self contain idea...so, it should be very simple. I think for most of people 8 sequences/16 steps for bassline is enough. For any other, more serious sequencing there is great MBSEQ.

Wilba, I also own Delta 1010LT, and must say it is maybe best price/quality soundcard you can buy. It has very good and stable drivers. All recommendations. Only downfall is breakout box. :( I wanted to make my own panel with all connectors on it for mounting it to the mobile audio workstation I am building (didn`t started yet) but the problem is DB44 connector which is very hard to find. I found it somewhere online, but ordering and shipping of only one connector was bit pricey. If somebody can buy it in some local store and send it to me I would be very thankful. It is strong and flexible too. It can be heated so you can band it. Thickness of mine is 1.6mm so it needs some support from the bottom, but also does the aluminum of same thickness if you have alot of openings in it. Check the specs on rowmark website. Mine was also beige, and I used plastic primer applied several 2 times, and several layers of black mat paint. Both was in spray can. Yes, check their website. These are also so much other different materials. Some looks and feels just like aluminum, and if you laser engrave it you can have instant black letters. Small problem for me is that they are sell just to companies, so I need to find somebody to buy it for me. The black Texture is the one I have at home. Shipping would be about 10EUR. $100 a month for machine? Are you sure? Why the hell would somebody buy several tenths thousands machine if can be rented for lousy 100 buks? Crazy! If you are good with hands you can earn that money in hour without actually buying any machine. That sounds so good that I an jealous. It is really unbelievable what you can make and buy if you are living in America. Craftsman paradise. But I am afraid I would become very unsociable as I would never come out of the workshop. :) I would probably rent some cook for another 100 bucks as I don`t eat fast food as most of Americans does and I would never needed to come out :)))

Subatomic, maybe I can help you with the panel. CNC services are cheaper in Serbia. The problem is to find anodized aluminum. I am looking for one some for myself, and if I find it I`ll lett you know. Currently I can help you CNC cut the unanodized panel and engrave it with laser. But for laser engraving panel needs to be darker or lasered letters wont be very visible I guess. May I suggest other inexpensive but good and very durable solution. You can make panel using specialy designed rowmark material you can laser cut and engrave. (http://www.rowmark.com/laser/Laser_Engravable_Materials.asp) I have left some of "Texture" material I used to make my Traktor controller. I have seen you corrected yourself before I posted the response. ;) I just explained I thought it must be deleted as I didnt find it. I never tried to search the rest of the forum as I didn`t expect it to exist on other place than you told me. Why... I received few times email notification about responce to the my thread here and on the other forums, but in the time I came response was deleted. That is the first thing came to my mind, and I never bothered to understand the reasons for it. Misunderstanding, but it is nothing new ;D
