Hello all, Just got my hands on the drawbar and switch assembly off of a Hammond H112 on ebay http://feedback.ebay.ie/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=noble_mutt&item=280006089649&iid=280006089649&frm=1883&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:SID I had never seen the drawbar assembley before off of a Hammond, and have read all the threads regarding their midification. The problem is most of the threads drew no conclusion or solution. Is their anyone about who can tell me whether I go either: a- Scan Matrix, although I'm not sure if that end of the programming is fully complete b- the 'resistive' route using increments of 1.2k resitors over all eight bus bars to a max of 10k, and set up that bridge every eight drawbars c- The DIN route. Any comments would be greatle appreciated. MP

Thanks for posting JimHenry. Search results on the forum re this matter are unconclusive. Anyone any ideas?

Anyway, Just got this on e-bay. It is to be the drawbar section of a keyboard I want to build in the next few months. Basically a double weighted 88 key keyboard with drawbars, housing a fully integrated PC and a 15 inch monitor. I will upload copies of the plans when I get them down on print. So, any suggestions would be welcome. I will probably transfer the post to concepts now that I think of it..... Here are the drawbars- off of an H 112 Hammond. http://cgi.ebay.ie/Hammond-Organ-Complete-Drawbar-Paddle-Assembly_W0QQitemZ280006089649QQihZ018QQcategoryZ64429QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Cheerio, MP

How to add a midi out socket to USB Midi keyboard ?
henrygr replied to ohmstudiste's topic in MIDIfication
Thornsten did a post some years back on a successful matrix. Look up 'diode matrix'. That might help! -
docbrown, Do you plan to use the original Fatar board and midi out from that, or to put its matrix through the MBox console?

Thanks for the reply. I ahve built one already http://www.midibox.org/forum/index.php?topic=6818.0. The drawbars are from an old VOX Continental Super II. However, I want to build another one using Hammond M 100 Drawbars, and was wondering if anyone has successfully retrofit them. I read JimHenry's posts re his Wurlitzer written some years back, but the thread was inconclusive as to his success rate. Any help anyone? MP

Just wondering if all of the members whose posts conserning Hammond midification are still about. I need to rack your brains about drawbar scan matrix!! :D ;D

My dream cabinet- Woofer, 2 mids and two horns. Mids and horns split stereo signal Dream Amp- One Knob Only for volume. No tweaking of sound by the amp, cos I can do all that pre-amp on the PC. About 120 to 200 Watts Was looking at diyaudio.com and freeinfosociety.com. They have bits and pieces. But I'm inder pressure, as my calander is starting to fill out, and I've lots of gigs coming up. I'll have money, but no time :( Oh yeah. A remote control for the one knob on the amp would be good. A pot that turns, not rubber digital buttons. Just one knob. How simple can it be? ;D Thanks For The Interest MP

Since this post has turned into anything but its original intention, I think I'll ask a question that has nothing to do with any of the above. Can anyone recommend a good online resource for building amps and speaker cabinets? Now, off I go to close the freaky door............. ::)

Me again. No reply from Fatar. You surprised stryd_one? Ok. Hit them again. I really want some of their keyboards (has anyone seen the wooden keyboard with inverted white on black :P) This time i wrote (bit of bulls**t) "I am interested in finding out who the importer of the FATAR range of products is in Ireland, as I am building a range of purpose ordered keyboards, as well as refurbishing Church organs arould Ireland. Could one of your sales team please e-mail me. I would have no problem arranging my own logistics from Italy if the case may be Many Thanks In Anticipation of your Reply," Keep you all posted. Maybe I'll send an e-mail a day just to keep them on their toes!!! HG

my core makes a good heater, at a loss for why?
henrygr replied to bdu's topic in Testing/Troubleshooting
I ha heating problems. It eneded up being minute parts of bad soldering. In my case it was C4 and T1. Also, check C6 if you have power problems. -
I saw fibre optic cable for sale in a Maplin about a week ago if thats any help.

All this talk of cores and Einstein may bring unwanted interest here. Could all blow up the wrong way (oops. Did I just say that) Midi violin anybody??

Now I get you......Have bookmarked that bit of code for future use. Cheers. :)

Where exactly is that garbage can?......

FYO Went to www.fatar.com Pretty cool. They now sell keyboards only (did anyone else know that?). I e-mailed them on the chances of getting the matrix layout for their keyboards, but I would say the chances of getting a reply would only be two- none and f-all. However, I wonder what their minimum order for keyboards would be. It would certainly cut costs for midi boxers to be able to buy the ebony and ivory only and build around it based on their needs. Any thoughts? Perhaps I'll contact them again in the hope of finding such info. Imagaine- an 88 key weighted mechanism for little or nothing....drool!

With credit to Audiocommander for his assistance!!

Mine works beautifully at 5.4 V :)

Would love to replace the board in mine. Anyone aware of a succussful upgrade to an Mbox project? Not necessarily the Fatar, but any keyboard would be a start..

how to midify a Roland sh101 with velocity control?
henrygr replied to xarolium's topic in MIDIfication
Would http://beam.to/midi303 be an answer? -
Iw onder if they 're-released' the keyboard using the same circuitry as all of the old one- ie. all functions available, just not 'made' available for marketing purposes- a common tact. I have the oold Fatar Studio 900 which has a bit more functionality. If you wanted to send me a better description of the circuit board, or post a photo maybe, I'll compare the two and see if the above is true! MP
