  1. Sorry Stryd, My friends got nothing to do with Midibox.. So I thought he would be a good candidate for such a commercial role.. He's designed a few things for Blacet & Doepfer and used to work for Fairlight. I didn't mean to put any noses out of joint. Regards Mike
  2. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karateka_%28video_game%29 me thinks so.. The Apple II version came on one apparently single-sided disk. As an easter egg, a second version of the game was placed on the flip side of the disk. If one put the disk into the drive upside-down, the game played identically to the first side, except that the game was displayed vertically flipped. According to Mechner, this was done as a joke, causing naive users to call tech support and ask why the game was upside-down. Invariably, they would receive the reply, "take the disk out, insert it right-side up, and reboot". LOL!
  3. should be fine and dandy.. regards Mike
  4. I got the man for you.. message sent..
  5. Hey Wilba, is your avatar thingy from Karateka? at the end when you defeat the bad guy and kiss the girl? I used to play that game heaps on the Apple IIe... memories..
  6. 4 Sids sticking out of my letterbox here with me in Sydney! Gracias!
  7. Bitchin!! ;D These are great! they feel very positive, with just the right amount of give.. they work perfectly with my sequencer.. no jitter at all!! I've just ordered another 20 of them, and might even order another 20 ontop of that. AMEN. 8)
  8. Recieved today, And my first impression is whoaa :o .. these feel really really good.. Professional... They are detended, and feel like they are 24 clicks per full rotation. I don't have the specs for them, so I'll play around with my sequencer and see if they work "As is". I'll report back with my findings.
  9. As I said earlier, I've used those exact same switches from the same ebay seller.. for my sequencer.. they are good... real nice feel.. the other ones (round ones) would be too small for my fat fingers. Regards Mike
  10. 20 purchased.. I'll let you all know how well they work etc.. Regards Mike
  11. Cheers for you prompt reply! The knob issue has been a bit of a sore point for me.. lots of knobs out there I like.. none fit (Too big) my sequencers.. (I missed out on the group buy for the albs ones) These silver knobs will look pimpin on my silver sequencer with silver push buttons and silver LED bezels.. (Did I mention that it's silver?) I'm also having issues (And my friends) with the encoders we are using.. they don't seem that durable to the use we are giving them.. we are being pretty gentle with them.. but we use them lots.. I'm hoping these will suit us better. Regards Mike
  12. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=200242136430&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=010 My only question is, will these work? Has any one else tried these out yet? I'm fine buying some to see how they work out... unless others have already tried and failed. Regards Mike
  13. Hey there. Seems like there is a problem with the "Sync to Measure" When enabled, the pattern seems to loose it's timing by a few clicks.. enough to make it sound sloppy. (Less than a 16th out) Anyone else out there can verify this? Regards Mike
  14. Would it be possible to assign a key to a "Rest", so when entering a pattern (step time) , say the "Low C" would be the equivalent of a rest? This would enable one to enter a riff etc with rests without having to adjust the step knob. Not a huge ask, but I would find it useful. (Maybe others too) Also, I've tried out the gates and they are working great.. Also Also, I just noticed that pressing the one of the four "track" buttons twice quickly gets you to the 17-32 view for that track.. is this new or did I just find it? Either way! Brilliant! Regards Mike
  15. I used about 30 of those on my first sequencer, and they are great.. order more than you need, as a few were slightly higher than others. Also, they are pretty much perfect spacing for the LCD's I used.. Regards Mike
  16. Just had a good play with the polyphonic recording => Awesome!! This sequencer is truly a masterpiece.. As I use the J5 Trigger outs, I enabled this and re-compiled this, but I can't seem to get the trigger outs to work.. #define DEFAULT_ENABLE_J5_GATES 1 I've done this with the previous SEQ3 OS, and that worked fine.. Any Ideas? Am I missing something? Can anyone else verify this? Regards Mike
  17. Hot damn! Can't wait to try out the polyphonic recording!!! You can be sure I'll be using that! ;D
  18. Ok, so the 20mA is max current... looks like low current LED's run between 1mA & 2mA
  19. What would you say is Low Current ? I'm looking at building a SID V2, and for the matrix, Low current LED's are mentioned. If the LED is specified to run at say 20mA, is that 'low current' ? Like these? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/100pcs-3mm-red-leds-white-diffused-lens_W0QQitemZ190240823304QQihZ009QQcategoryZ66954QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742.m153.l1262 Regards Mike
  20. you barstardo! I was gonna do the same.. Now I'm gonna have to use something different, like a colecovision or intellivision..
  21. O.k, Found that it is supported.. Cheers Mike
  22. I can't seem to find the answer, I'd guess so, but before I fork out $50 I'd like to know. Regards Mike
  23. Got mine here in Australia today! Nice work! A++ for you. Mike
  24. Oh, I forgot.. count me in for 1 ! I'm down for panel mount sockets.. (Are you including Din Sync?) Regards Mike
  25. I'm guessing these would need a special cut out? But they are dirt cheap.. and they do come in black. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/50-5-Pin-DIN-Panel-Jack-Socket-Clamp-Snap-In-Type-W5D_W0QQitemZ290245143948QQihZ019QQcategoryZ117488QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD2VQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em122
