The 300 SID's are most probably ripped from used 64's. Somebody posted a picture of their ebay auction where they offered ripped C64 boards, without SID's. But anyway, I would love to see the coding, of course all programmed from scratch :rolleyes:

yes, the DC 12V / 500mA as stated above is working fine, no issues at all !

Hi, I will ask my manufacturer if he would prefer a bulk order or if preople can contact him individually. He has produced both windows for me (MB6582 SID V2 as well as MBSEQV4). The are the same quality as Schaeffer but 30% cheaper. Unfortunately my friend reboot is not following on, he had a nice and cheap manufacturer for those windows, but obviously we can't make use of this source.... Cheers orange

Hi, ich bestelle auch regelmaessig von mouser, allerdings hier nach uk. Einfuhrumsatzsteuer musste ich bisher nicht zahlen. Ich habe auch den Katalog in gedruckter Form, allerdings in englisch. Ohne den wuerde ich bestimmte Bauteile nie finden, da mir der englische Fachbegriff fehlt. Ansonsten ist das Sortiment unschlagbar gross, kenne keinen groesseren Haendler... Greetz orange

You may have seen pictures of my "mean green machine" ?!? Actually the fan doesn't generate noise in the audio path but you can hear it. I have changed the layout of the rear panel in order to integrate a switch. For recording purposes I can switch off the fan, just in case. But I usually let the fan do his job, and this keeps the sids really cool ! On my first MB6582 (red devil) I used those heat sinks in combination with a fan: On my second MB6582 (mean green machine) I didn't use heat sinks at all, just the fan:

Hi, in my mb6582 there is a fan running, as the sids are getting hot. I am using 6582er Sids and they are getting too hot if you ask me. I have also drilled some holes in the bottom part of the case near the voltage regulators in order to create a stream from there to the fan. That works very well. I can also switch off the fan with a switch. Cheers orange and the heat sinks are not very helpful, as the heat is kept in the enclosure without a running fan. On the other hand the sids are quite robust and can cater with some heat.....

They bought some old C64's on ebay, took the SID out and sold the boards without SID's, long time ago ....

I would not wonder if they totally disappear in a couple of years from the marked, because I don't believe that they can live on this basis. Due to the good information flow within the major forums, MM have lost a big chunk of their reputation.

Hi, ich bin ja gerade dabei den MBSEQ V4 im Heidenreich Gehäuse zu bauen. Ich hatte mal angefangen hier eine Doku in deutsch zu erstellen: MBSEQ V4 German Doku Vielleicht hilft es ja dem einen oder anderen weiter. Die Doku ist allerdings noch nicht fertig, denn mir fehlen noch ein paar Komponenten. Wenn ich mit dem Projekt fertig bin, muss ich den Text noch übersetzen und dann hier ins Wiki eintragen.
