  1. Its only 64k (i Think) you need 256k for the bankstick if thats what you are looking for? use it for your USB module ;D when you build it! LO

  6. OK that did the trick  ;D Word of warning to anyone etching a USB module at home the current version of the .brd file has a small error: missing a trace on the eeprom socket Still couldnt get the ezUSB driver to install under XP ver 1 or ver 1.1 same error : An error occurred during the installation of the device A service installation in this INF is invalid Win 98 is fine All works well now except ........ when I conect a midi keyboard the related midi led flashes continiously even when im not pressing any keys! (it flashes faster when I do press a key) ive checked in midiOX and there is no random data being sent. The midi indicator in cubase only lights when I press a key so thats OK Can anyone point me in the correct direction to trouble shoot this small problem? Cheers LO
  7. OK I have tested all IC socket voltages and they are all OK except for the one which holds the eeprom Pins 2,3 & 7 are supposed to be earth according to the .pdf but on the .brd file I cant seem to find a trace that connects these pins to earth. Dan; you had a similar prob I think? is it safe for me to connect pin 3 with 4 to complete the earth circuit or is it ment to be connected in a different way? I did a home etch and it matches 1:1 for the .brd file! ??? ??? ??? LO
  8. thanks for the tips however I am still havin probs I cant seem to get: version 1.0 the link still seems to point to ver 1.1 it would be nice to be able to try this stuff on me own PC So I tried it on another PC Win 98 yay it lets me install the ezUSB driver. but once it is installed I still can not seem to burn the Chip Since I am using an 24LC256 instead of the 24LC64 is there anything I need to change in the settings of the control panel? I also notice that the power led does not have enough grunt to light the led i.e. I can measure only 1v but I have checked all the ICs and they measure the correct voltage ie 5v or 3.25-3.3v and earths seem OK. getting desperate........ Thanks LO
  9. Hi USB module finished Plug it in and yes it is found however when I go through the new hardware wizard it starts installing but stops and reports the following error: An error occurred during the installation of the device A service installation in this INF is invalid :( Im guessing this is a similar error to that which other are reporting? I have tried installing many times and every time the same error. Im using Windows XP service pack 1 Ill try with win98 sometime soon? Any ideas? peace LO

Cant remember which publication tho!

  22. mmm sounds good I will check I have a feeling that the SBlive ext box didnt conect directly to the audigy that it needed an audigy ext box? would this be a problem?

  25. Traktor is very easy to set up for Midi control You build the surface any way you want it, then traktor will learn the midi I agree you dont need to worry about encoders for a DJ setup. Traktor has soft takeover function anyway I have just used pots and im very happy with it. No midi out? are you sure? LCD useful for trouble shooting etc but not for general use in this application
