    Direct injection?

Hi Thanks for the offer!! well even at $65 that sounds better than a kit from JayCar ($75) Do I really need one? or is it OK to plug in to the line in? Im just off Symonds st so ur nice and handy! Cheers
  3. Hi Should be easy to answer this one? Is it OK if I plug a guitar straight in to the line-in on the PC sound card? Will it do any damage? I understand that ideally you should have a DI box but I cant afford to shell out for one at the moment (or perhaps some DIY plans anyone?) pEaCe
  4. Im keen let us know the costs cheers
  5. dont kno if you can burn all with the JDM, would have thought it would overwrite. do it via midi it helps with the trouble shooting and it is real easy when sending via midi: Mios must be sent within two secs of the request. The app can be sent whenever you like after that ;)
  6. yo Thomas flip your regulator round, sounds like you got 'em in backwards, does it get real hot? (should have a good constant 5v after reg) peace
  7. Yeah Only use the JDM to burn the boot strap, the send apps via midi

    Knobs

A pot is only turning once ie not quite 360 deg where an encoder can spin round & round like a jog/scrub wheel
  9. My MF's dont have TS and they work just fine, TS would be nice but..... you can just attach a button next to the fader to disengage also the software (not sure if its on all versions) has a built in fix when you move a fader by hand for 0.5 or something seconds it automatically switches the fader off..... not real good for the life of the fader but doubt it would make much diff If you can afford touch sensor get it if not no worries!
  10. Hey StephenTI do a search in this forum on the send midi to light the led's thing, as this has been discussed and a fix already found ..pEaCe..
  11. Yes its only 8 per core as the analog in pins are not multiplexed (I think thats what you call it) i.e no AIN board is used faders need to connect directly to Core board ..pEaCe..
  12. real easy; just make a box with a "din" in it and some buttons on it then connect to yout core (or chain it on the end of another "din") via a removeable plug (only a 5 wire connection that way!) my design uses a similar idea to this refer the gallery. peace
  13. One core with diff plug in modules containing Ains Dins etc works well Just need to use different bank stick set ups and switch via the core Take care with the length of cable esp if you have midi data via the cables, and use good sheilding I had a few lil probs with box (not major tho)
  14. yeah wen you are using motorfaders you are restricted to 8 AINs just add another core 8)
  15. If you add the "splif"count to the equation you will always get the same answer! 8)
  16. That looks real nice!! 8) dig the coloured LEDs man, it looks like it may have been a bit of a tight fit? peace

  18. Hi Even with no Ains or Dins connected you still need to ground the analog pins of the core. Try doing this and see if your prob persists. Cheer LO

    MB_LINK

OK just got it sorted! I tried seperating the midi signals from all the other wires this didnt work  :( so i tried shortening the cable with the midi lines & seperating them and now it works; no random data! ;D Strange but true although it may have been something else which changed as I made the change in cable length peace
  23. Not sure if I understand your question? But yes the USB module has 2 useable midi in's If you are not using them you can still leave the opto's in place.

Thanks for the help :D I will try it out and re-post if I have some luck! Thanks LO

    MB_LINK

Thanks  ::) yes I have plenty more log files! (i'll post when I get home) About shielding: the wires run in a 25core cable, only the outside of the cable is shielded (no internal) so the analog are not separated however this causes no problem when I bypass the midi MB_link connection and use standard midi? So to shield my cable...... The cable has some foil underneath the outer plastic layer and some non-insulated wire strands. Do I just solder the non-insulated strands to the -ive connection? or do I solder them to the 25pin plug casing and then conect the other side of the plug to -ive on the P/Supply? And should I only earth one end of the cable? (someone said that to me?) Pretty basic stuff I guess but I dont know the answer! :-[ Cheer LO
