  1. Yeh that happens... What did you search for? It seems pretty hard to miss, and it'd help with the search tutorial if I could find out what the stumbling blocks are.
  2. We could probably use the LTC module for RS232 to the PC , or a parllel interface, and a bunch of IIC_midi to make a really awesome MIDI interface... It's finding someone to write the driver. I wonder if anyone would know what it would cost to pay someone to write them?
  3. Sounds like a good idea to me (not that I'd know). Thanks for making the effort to collect up all those pics!
  4. Ahh so you want to know the meanings of the pin names... I posted that so you could see which pin was named how. If you'd searched the wiki for 'encoder pinout' you'd know this, cause it's the first and only hit! http://www.midibox.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=encoder_specifications
  5. How'd mine go mate?
  6. Oh man that is great, if anyone ever gave me a gift like that I'd be ecstatic! Three cheers for the bride and groom... and synth ;D
  7. Slow as hell doing what? How do you know the core is OK? (It might have broken since it was last OK) Do you get that msg before trying to upload the new MIOS the first time, or every time you power it on, or after uploading MIOS, or...?
  8. You can delete the .o files and try again.
  9. I did search around just to be sure but I could be wrong! Geez I hope not!!
  10. Wow nice one MRE!
  11. You sure that's a touchscreen? Hey Rowan what happened to Miss Motorbooty?
  12. I searched for ages because I was trying to figure out where you read that you should connect encoders to J9 on the DIN.... Especially as there isn't one... So I assume you're talking about which CORE module jumper to connect the DIN module to? If so, you musta missed this part: ;) So it's still J9. If all else fails, the schematic is the best reference, and you can always check the source code to be sure.
  13. from the 'Buy' page ;)
  14. That'd be great, thanks John :)
  15. That's a DINx4 you mean :) You don't need the AINx4 if you use encoders instead of pots, which I almost always do personally. A Joystick is two pots, spot on, and you would need the AIN for that.. Not sure why you have the LTC (LED/Thru/COM) module? You might want an LCD for troubleshooting, and a DOUT if you want any LED's for flashy lights. The code is a snap :) Have you seen the example app yet? Edit: Check this out :the becoming of the midibox axe
  16. Bingo! ;) There is a C based programming example for sending note values which should be a good basis. If you've used C before, it could probably be ready in an hour or two :) All you need to do is specify a variable to add to the note number you send, and increment/decrement it in amounts of 12, to get the octave up/down buttons.
  17. http://www.esolutionsusa.com/ebay/ASUP3.JPG Shows that it's B type, which is logarithmic :( damn! Thanks for the heads up though!
  18. Hmmmm.... Are you guys getting these shipped through Customs perhaps?
  19. No rush dude. I really wanna see the Duplo buttons though :)
  20. Commodore VIC-20 Colour Computer in Box Plus Extras .au :-\
  21. Funny toy indeed, but I also think that an extension of this technology could one day be useful for those without the power of speech... Really cool stuff man.
  22. In the past I recommended The online version of The C Book as a good tutorial, and I noticed today that it's been released in PDF format. Hope that might be useful to someone :)
  23. It's probably cheaper and certainly quicker and easier to just buy a new screen for the PC :)
