Errrrr.... stupid question: The SID Master does *NOT* merge the incoming events with the stuff sent to the slaves, does it? Cause I'm sending the Midiclock to the Midimon and its in chain with my SID... I'll try it without MIDIclock...
-
Hmmm. Probiers halt einfach noch a weng.

Its not me, but I do think I got the luck to get the best close way anyhow: 200 kms to *! TK !* (Nürnberg - München) ;D ;D ;D ... ;)

Not really. Encs work like that: Right direction (e.g. up counting): bit 1: 0 1 1 0 0 ... bit 2: 0 0 1 1 0 ... and the other way (down): bit 1: 0 0 1 1 0 ... bit 2: 0 1 1 0 0 ... That means you would have to push those two buttons exactly that way to go up/down. This also means that if you releace a button in a certain position you count down by one again (so you can only go up/down by 4 without holding the buttons). Perhaps you can lget there from the MIOS side: E.g. look at the SID Firmware. The Encoder to select the Menu items can also be two push buttons, you just have to set that bit in the main.asm

Ziemlich easy. Gruß pay.c

Making the PCB by myself... ;D About 3-4 Euros... ;)

Yeah! One display per pot/button/anything! Just imagine that! LOL @TK: Surely, I´ll send you the display, check your mails! :D

Simplesizer? What´s that? ??? I missed something there for sure. Gimme an adress or homepage or something! PLS! :D

Jau, guck ich nach. Meld mich nochmal...

;D Ist mir gar nich aufgefallen... Ausgeben? Klar! ;) )

L O L ! Really great link! That's some cheap drum trigger indeed! ;D

I'm about to design some veeery simple etching bath. Specs it will be about: 200 ml etching fluid capable 2x 160x100mmxmm boards at once (200 ml fluid can take up to about 4 160x100) bubble-like bath 10-20W heating (will that be enough? dont think so...) It will be made out of plexiglas & some other materials. As I see it it will be very cheap (*very* roughly about 20-40 Euros for buying all stuff (if you dont have some already) and 10-20 for theheating power supply (if you're keen you can save that by plugging it into the 220V AC of your home - I dont recommend that ;) ). I hope that thing will function... If there's interest I'll post some pics to the portal or so.

Hey TK! I think I still have a broken 3310 at my house! Some friend gave it to me to repair it, but the CPU was broken. So the LCD should still function properly! If you want I certainly would send it to you! Although I do think that 3310 LCD is raaaaather small for MIOS stuff, its still kinda interesting and funny option! So, if you're really into that just give me an email with your adress! PS: I would implement some driver, too. *IF* I was sure that I can do that... ... Â :-X Â ... I'm absolutely not... so I will try to read the datasheet & get the point & implement some driver, but I'm absolutely sure I won't be as fast as TK would do that (especially because I *ONLY* did work with character displays up to now) Greetz!

Normally that only happens if the LCD isn't initialised. Try reburning the PIC (bootstrap & MIOS). Perhaps that second DIN was connected bad or broken or whatever... (also I never heard of a DIN deleting a PIC........ weird...). Greetz
-
Perhaps try replacing the TC4427. Could be broken. Is it getting hot when it's connected? Is there a voltage coming out of the IC (the pin going to the MF)? Also when its working always check if it's getting to hot. You should use IC-heatsinks if it's to hot... Greets!

Errrr, I think the link is bad... Price? Shipping? 24 pulse detend would be really cool for the Seq...

1: Errr. no. Should jump up and go down really good. Best would be testing it with an Osci. So, check all your stuff (resistors, soldering stuff ...). Also check the voltage directly at the Out Pin of the PIC (don´t know what that one was now - just look up in the schematics). The PIC and all other stuff is getting the right voltage? (5V?) Is the crystal isolated & is it a 10 Mhz one (for 18Fs)? Really weird... 2: No, the schematic is really fine. I use it myself, and many other people, too. So, the problem can´t be there. Just check your PSU board if you soldered everything correctly (sometimes these breadboards can be tricky). Yre you getting the right voltages out of the PSU board? (0,5V,14V?) And also check the PSU itself. Is it running properly? (We´re talking about 20 year old stuff!) Really hope you can find the error. Greetz again :)

How to make neat professional diy panels repetedly
pay_c replied to Artesia's topic in Tips & Tricks
Cool! Nearly the same way I´m doing it! ;) One more Tip: If you have done the Pic with XARA (or whatever), export it somehow to jpg or whatever (if you can´t export it, just make snapshots - there are enough snapshot shareware progs out there - just google - and put those snapshots together to one big pic). Import that pic into Photoshop (or Corel Draw or what you´re used to), make it the size of your frontplate and then use it as background. With this technique you can easily label all the pots/buttons very precisely. Fast way to make nice & precise paneldesigns. Greetz :D -
For 1: Do you have any MIDI LEDs connected? They should light up as soon as MIDI data is sent (as soon as you turn on the PIC). If not: Measure the voltage of the MIDI Out pin. It should make some "jumps" when MÌDI is sent (without MIOS every second or so). (All that is for the hardware check if the Sysex String is sent properly) Perhaps it´s just a setup thing within MIDIOX. For 2: Did you use the PSU Recycle schematic of TK? If not, do it! If yes: You also did put in the 7809, right? Greetz! ;D

First: MIOS is definetely non profit. Read the GNU for more. This also means absolutely no capitalism thing for sure! And I like it! Second: Nope, only TK is the extrem cool programmer. ;) Just kidding... ;D Don´t get me wrong: I really do like the idea of that modular thing (making a whole 40U rack for MIOS - coooool). But shouldn´t it stay non-profit & DIY?
