  1. ... a Laptop with Cubase, Logic or what ever ;D ... or a standalone HD-Recorder (one of those "can do everything" personal studio-boxes. Greets, Roger
  2. ... that depends om your host software... how much the fader lets you boost a signal (above unity gain). Greets, Roger
  3. K65 Softtype: http://www.elma.de/files/products/rotary_components/pdfs/new_soft_touch_and_classic_knobs_001.pdf http://www.sifam.co.uk/ Sifam Instruments Ltd. England is the manufacturer of it. Look for the appropriate distributor for your country under "contact/support" on the ELMA website. Greets, Roger
  4. ... I think the datatransfer of the serial connection wouldn't be high enough anyway. Greets, Roger
  5. Hello Sephult "Latency" does not refer just to soundcards. It's a common english word. It's the state of something being latent (hidden but possible of being developed). Should that be a soundcart a MIDI connection or what ever... No offense, just for the sake of precision :) Greets, Roger
Greets, Roger
  7. ... it does help :D Thanks a lot Raphael! Greets, Roger
  8. I don't think, that you come cheaper to NEW MFs than this... (independant of quantity) http://cgi6.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewSellersOtherItems&userid=familygate&include=0&since=-1&sort=3&rows=50 Even that I wouldn't be satisfied with the N-Type fader. I'll go for the K-Type with Iron less Motors (no ribble), but the cheapest price I got is 70 Euros. Greets, Roger
  9. Hello all I'll use the MEC switches for my MidiBox, with built in LEDs. http://www.mec.dk/files/LED%20tecinfo.pdf My question to the electronic pros: Are the 220 Ohms resistors on the DOUT Board high enough or do I need further resistors before the LEDs? Greets and thanks Roger
  10. I was thinking of bidding on it, because my airguitar got stolen last night ;D Greets, Roger PS: If you see anybody selling a used airguitar on Ebay with the serial number "xxyz" please contact me. - It could be mine.
  11. I will order encoders from smash ;) But those I will use for the V-Pods. The optical thing from the mouse parts would be nice for the jog-wheel, since I can control the mechanical resistence. So I will make the next try and hope to get it working. Since I have logitech mice as well, having the pix would help me finding out, which pin to connect to what :-/ Thanks anyway Greets, Roger
  12. Did you consider using old mouse parts for your jog encoder? The advantage is, you can control the turning resistance of the wheel better and you can manipulate the pulse/turn count of the encoder pretty easy. Greets, Roger
  13. ... da werde ich mich vermutlich auch anschliessen ;D Siehe ensprechenden Thread (mit switch function)
  14. I would take 40 pieces with switch to. Greets, Roger
  15. Hey d2k The pics are not available anymore in this thread. Is this a mistake or did you take em off out of purpose? Would it be possible, that you make 'em available again, since I'm very interresed to learn from your work? Thanks and greets Roger
  16. O.k., falls ich sie Dir doch bestellen soll, kannst Du mir ja eine Message hinterlassen. Grüsse, Roger
  17. Hi Steve No just a core is not enough, you unterstood SmashTV wrong. You also need a MF-Board http://www.ucapps.de/mbhp/mbhp_mf_interconnections.pdf and if you want touch sensors, which makes sense if you are using Motorfaders, you need a DIN-Board http://www.ucapps.de/midibox_lc/midibox_lc_enc_ts.pdf as well, Greets, Roger EDIT: A Tip: Print out all the pdf-files on large paper (I used A3 paper-sheets). This way you get a much better overview to understand the different modules and their use in different applications.
Greets, Roger
  20. ... wäre auch im Frühjahr dabei. Greets Roger, Hinwil (ZH) / Schweiz (...da wo die Sauber F1 herkommen :) )

  22. Oooops! :P Well thank you for your valuable information. I'll check the prices and have to decide then, about the quality is worth the price for my application or not. Did you check the pdf? Which one do you think would be best for the V-Pods inder MBox LC? Greets, Roger
  23. Is a switching PSU only a problem on the 12V side for the motorfaders or as well on the 5V side? I mean, does the jitter-problem come from the AIN or from the fader motors? Greets, Roger
  24. Hi Sean Pro: +4dBu = 1.23V Cons.: -10dBu = 0.245V Broadcast: +6dBu = 1.55V Greets, Roger
  25. ... I thought yes because they're contact less (longer life). What speaks against it? Are they causing trouble under MIOS?
