  1. ... so you actually want an signal router not an amp switcher... like a digital controled patch bay? If you're looking for a switcher (shortening the remote contact of an "external switch"- connector of your amp), I think there won't be any noise issues. Greets, Roger
  2. Thanks a lot! Hope you had a relaxing vacation. Â :D Greets, Roger
  3. ... number of holes multiplied by 2.54mm ;) Greets, Roger
  4. Looks good... ooops where ist it? ;D You forgot the link :o Greets, Roger
  5. Hello in 2005 I have a question regarding the LC faderbanks: What do the faderbanks (for example: I currently see and have access to channel 1-8 and I switch to the next set of 8 faders with the "bank right"-button to 9-16) have to do with banksticks? -Nothing? I mean, is this a different setup which has to be stored on a bankstick in the MidiBox or does this information simply come from the host software and the Box shows this information? Thanks and greets Roger
  6. Yes it's old news ;D ... have a look at the electric specifications ;) ... Pot resistance / Motor voltage Greets, Roger
  7. one of hundret of sources: http://www.albs.de/ They have the full ALPS program For pices E-mail Greets, Roger
  8. I had the same idea about such a board. I'll make individual boards for the encoders and switches running across 8 faders. Greets, Roger
  9. Just a hand to SmashTV, since I ordered 100 encoders (switched) and several boards from him. - Superb service - Superb quality on all parts Thanks a lot SmashTV! Greets, Roger
  10. Yes I understand :) I don't have a layout for you but a warning. I think you'll run into a much biger problem... do the encoders and switches you'll use have exactly the same distance from your frontpanel to the PCB? This is not the case with my herdware components :-/ Greets, Roger
  11. Thanks guys! I updated the pages with the transformer labels (on the PSU1 transformer is no rating readable anymore). I haven't done this earlier because I thought it's not only the transformer reliable for the power consumption but also the regulators... is that like this? These regulators raphael metioned are mounted on a metal plate not on PCB. I will dismount the supplies to check (trace the PCB tracks) about the fuses are really on the primary side. Thanks and greets Roger PS @ Pay-C : Is it possible, that your browser blocks the site because of the active content (Hover)?
  12. ... you'll find this under http://www.ucapps.de/mbhp_sid.html ... everything is documented and explained in detail there. After studying ucapps, try to find the answers for further questions with the search feature in this forum. ... then post  ;) Greets, Roger
  13. Partlist: http://www.ucapps.de/mbhp/mbhp_sid_orderlist.txt Moebius means... just have a look at www.ucapps.de ... he sometimes can be pretty sarcastic ;D Greets, Roger
  14. ... this one offers some kind of granular synthesis: http://www.hartmann-music.com/home/us/neuron/soundengine/soundengine_basics.html Greets, Roger
  15. How about 34? :-) Please put me in with 4 sets. If you'll order a bulk under 50 and the price changes drastically, please contact me first. Greets, Roger
  16. Hello everybody I found 3 PSUs in 19" frames in the garbage at our studio. They came from our old interstudio communication system. http://home.tiscali.ch/screamingrabbit/Pages/PSU/PSU.htm When you electronic freeks have a look at the pics... is it possible that those are regulated PSUs I could use for my MidiBox LC? If so, how can I find out how much power I can suck out of them? I think the fuses on the frontpanels are on the primary side of the trafo. Greets, Roger
  17. Yes. But there is some programming in MIOS to be done. Only MidiBox LC supports 2 LCDs by "default" yet (two 2x40) Greets, Roger
  18. Yes... that's actually what it's supposed to do ;) I think this should also work with the MBSEQ. You can write a PC application with a graphical interface window. Receiveing commands from your MidiBox for onscreen status display and with buttons to click with the mouse which will send commands back to the MidiBox. Greets, Roger
  19. As I said, I'm not shure about it's possible to mount a drive inside the S3000. There is no problem to connect it external. If there is space and an internal connector, it won't be hard to put it there. You just have to set the correct SCSI IDs. - Check the manual. Specially when you connect the sampler to a SCSI board of your computer, you propably have to set the S3000 controller to slave (default is "master") Greets, Roger
  20. It's not really fast ;) Let me see in the studio, when I'm back from Holidays. I bet, I still have some old 2GB SCSI 10'000rpm drive waiting to be (ab)used. Perhaps you just have to remind me. Where do you live? (shipping costs) Greets, Roger
  21. ... as far as I remember, you can mount a SCSI HD drive inside. I'm using the external connection and have it connected to a 1U 19" framed CDR and ZIP (both SCSI). I think the SCSi interface was a standart feature on the S3000XL. Greets, Roger
  22. ... you propably mean IDE Ribbon cables? If so, yes you can use them. Greets, Roger
  23. ... should be possible. I'm mostly only concerned with the MidiBox LC... so somebody else, more experienced possibly will answer you this question. ... you could upload the data from your drive with sysex... I think the bankstick is much quicker and the way to go. And just a reminder: You better use a LCD anyway... for debuging. Greets, Roger
  24. 1. The question is, how high is the max resistance? http://www.midibox.org/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=parts_q;action=display;num=1103305075 ... or could that be done with an appropriate resistor connected in parallel and then just scale MIOS to this range? 2. When implemented in MIOS like a potentiometer, the physical touch position would be absolute (means: the controller value would jump to this position). To replace a motorized joystick, the touch position should be relative to the current parameter value. 3. Since I think that a regular laptop pad would be to small for surround control device, would a touch screen (resistive type) work? They're available pretta cheap. Perhaps this could be programmed when working with the AIN...? Greets, Roger
