  1. search there: if your GPUTILS SDCC and PERL path are right.
  2. i've make a mistake sorry, if you have smash pcb, you must connect 1:1 but CORE MD to SID SC. if you have 2 SID (v2) you must connect SID2 SO to CORE J14 and not cascade to SID1 SO.
  3. I've fried a variable psu. there was short in one cable during test. It's fired just 1 of the 2 resistors inside, the biggest one. It was connected after the rectifier at the positive pins of 2 big caps 1000µf 25v. The other resistor it's a 560ohm. It's completely fired than it's impossible to know the value.
  4. uhm... that pin it's just connect to nothing in the PCB wires, so you must connect pin 1:1 from CORE J10 and SID J2. You will have only 1 crossed cable at SC that it's in different position on CORE J10.
  5. glad to reopen this thread but i've problem with mios studio and my ESI Rom I/O 2. mios studio don't recognize the midi ports of it. :'( p.s. this device it's drivers free under windows solved using Rom I/O 1st release that come with own drivers. pp.ss. Rom I/O 2 use the OS Usb/Audio drivers, mac & win, who can explain me why MIOS Studio do not recognize it?

JoMoX is totally LACK of info.. i'm going to hate them.

  19. an hair dryer!! i'm bald obviously! i'll try to explain: ;D my SID have the optimize psu circuit inside ok? c64 psu use 4 pins ok? the connector have 6 pins ok? i want to take a 14v psu, cut the connector, and replace with the c64 one, and connect to the free pins the negative and positive ok? so i can plug or the c64 psu, that use him own pins, or the 14v psu, that use the 2 free pins. on the sid/core side, the female connector had c64psu 4pins +-5v / +-9v -> connected to the optimized psu, -> and than to j2 core j2 sid +5, j1 sid +9; 2pins+-14v connected to j1 sid converted to +9v 7809, to j1 core that convert with 7805 +5v, from here to j2 sid.

  21. in the c64 power plugs there are 2 free pins. i'm thinking to use this to connect a 14v modified psu with the same c64 male plug. so i can use the original or the 14v one. but i know that 7805 must not stuffed into the core and 2 pins must shorted. a) can i leave the 7805 soldered when i connect the c64 PSU? b) the optimized psu circuit will receive the Voltage form the SID and CORE when the 14v mod it's plugged. this will be bad for noise/dropping etc.? i'm doing some test but more prof. member can suggest me ho do it (without a switch better) i've NO space. regards. G.
  22. nothing special, just my first try with a graphic's vectors program. MOS.zip MOS.zip

  24. For all italians here, go to live in another country if you want DIY! Digikey had answare me this after uhm, some week: Shipping are free over €50 (€150 in real). Digikey ship items by UPS directly to your address. Than you have to pay just 20% of the value and 20% of the real shipping costs. a) Shipping directly it's not thrue. For it.digikey they use a Netherlands office that receive the pack and than ship it to italy. I've contacted a person that had payed €120 to UPS (TNT in IT) plus €46 of customs/IVA20% for €180 of original value. b) If i can't know how much are the "real" shipping costs i can't know how much it's the 20% of that. well, i'm very glad for this, and sorry with people that had join this order. :) keep in mind this experience. TheProf will save us! FKN regards. G.
