optocoupleur ou diode...?
-
yes you can let some butons unmounted, that was what i'm meaning when I said all the work is already done. what you can do is for ex. not to mount the menu buton , so access to various menu won't be possible with the step gp button. you can just mount it at start to create a template pattern. you will be obliged to tweak the code only if you want to create some shorcut.

yes, and thank again Stryd, I will do the bunch of test saturday.

don't be borred about the programmation, all you need is already done in the existing seq, and it's not difficult to prevent acces to functions you don't want to use .. I thinked something similar for my own children, then realize i have to do something really solid and strong (buton and case), cause kids are (sometime?) wild, it's the more difficult part of the work! rock-solid button are expensive! I think standard encoder won't resist more than 17 dayz to kids tweaking! maybe you can do the TK seq, with no group button and use the F1-F4 button for the 4 track mutes, it could be a good start, then you keep the possibility to add more button as your kids grow up :) . ..but maybe this post is in fact from a kid who want to make a simple Seq for his father! ;D

hi, I'm now twinking more the app (analog_toolbox) and have done some change , as I'm learning more.. maybe someone can help me here: I've added two more EG to the apps, in the rough way : I've duplicated the code two more time, one eg after one, creating beside all registers and variable needed. all seems to work, but it's said that this eg is called each 1ms from a mios timer.. does my way could be suitable with no critical timing problem, or should I try to merge the 3 eg prog so all the attack first are processed, then the 3 decay, etc...? thanks.

unless you can use the standard CORE pcb to do the pic-usb module (with some mods), there are two different things. Core module will drive your midibox and so send/receive MIDI datas, you have to build your CORE with all components (the optocoupler and the resistor) if you plane to use one day your midibox with another external interface or gear if you plane to integrate your USB-PIC module into your MIDIbox, you can use the J11 port of the core module and j2 of the USB-PIC module for a direct connection. In this case, don't plug the optocoupleur and related resistors on the core and on the usb module, and DON'T USE the midi IN/out port plugs of the two modules (datas come in and out from usb directly to the core PIC, and you can not mix two midi in without a merger) PIC-USB module is a MIDI interface for your computer, maybe you will one day plugg in another gear than the midibox, I think its better to mount the two modules complete then use midi cables to connect them together in the normal way, so you will be free later to change your setup without searching around for the missing part... hope this reply to you fine.

hi, maybe you can try to post some schemes or pictures with some basic comments, that will be better than a Babelfish translation, then we will be abble to reply and help you.

I get a lot of problem with M-audio audio card (quattro), with their strange driver, but I have to say that my MIDIMAN USB 2x2 is rock solid and never cause me any problem on any system (win and ubuntu linux). I think the choice of the usb interface for audio product is the crappy thing, and maybe some problem come from the win host too..

the fm software provide no option to use AIN for cv in nor DIN for gate, so you will have to do the programming yourself. for the Ain, it's something similar in the SID software :

..that make the beast more sexy! ;D in the same time "vib" could stand for "vibro", that is a motorized toy our ladies sometime use.. 8) it's an organic box, I assume..

hi, Zaoum is its new name, Majakovsky! now, the panel artwork is done, next step will be the lazertran printing :P finaly, I've changed some things, mainly to be able to tweak independantly the two cutOff... the bbd delay and drive have been removed , to fully use all what is possible with the CEMs chips . sounds come soon, friends... ;)

..va faire une drôle de ttête le barman quand vous allez sortir vos fer à souder ! ;D

:o such a "focus" layer could be used for a funny thing: arm activated steps into this layer, then tweak transpose function, so only some step are affected ==> a nice variation within the track..then if it could be possible to use the scroll function for the focus layer so it hold other steps, it will be possible to make the transpositon moving over the step :)

take a look to the MB-LC, Live is supporting mackie control, with a lot of feedback of datas from the soft, and the handling is weel designed (you rarely need to tweak so many knobs/buttons at the same time) and maybe Live is supporting more than one mackie control..

waldorf fan? :) you can send me some of them if you need to make empty space in your rack ! ;D -
my though was to replace the yac by this firewire module, not to put yac512 after it. either the sample rate at the ymf262 is not conventionnal (49,7Khz) and the DAI is working 24bit...

it's seems that would not be suitable for thefm, it output 16 bit serial data but with 3 others "timing" signal, the clock signal so is not a classic one..:(
