Yes ,i will share all of that as soon as it will be fully working! I've used the PCB that oakley sell ,they are double sided ,so difficult to repplicate ,and are about 35*10 cm! Its why i'm trying to do a simple filter that can be build for cheaper on the stantard vector boards (one for the filter ,one for VCAs , combined with an AIN*1) . i've said to the OAKLEY guy that i will send him the mods ,so its will be on the oakley site if the man find them fine .As Oakley decide to give their schematic only to those who buy to them the PCB ,i don't want to share them, by respect for their choice ,but is easy to find moog style filter schematics on the web . But i'm working on different things at this time ,and try to finish first the french translation of Ucapps first ,so don't expect something before at least two or three weeks .

seq v2 with 4 rows of butons : workarounds
moxi replied to moxi's topic in MIOS programming (Assembler)
still near the solution ,near... i' ve some difficult with the values ,it never the right led that blink ,the led matrice let me in trouble. it's just to say i'm still workin on it... -
Hi tatapoum ,just wait ,i' m building an "OAKLEY FILTREX" ,in a stereo version ,and for the while i'm waing for the last part (reichelt is very long to send things!!) what i'm tryin to do : -a midification of this filter : the cutoff still have a CV input ,so it easy ; i'm building two VCAs for the rezonnance ,two more for the other parameter (fuzz\smooth) ,and a sync for the LFOs -a step SEQ ,using the TK SEQ ,that can be used to trig the envellope (it have already his gate input) and can modulate at least the CUToff and the rezo (each parameter ,assigned to a track will be "mutable" individually) -a little tube distortion on the output (as you can find on the ELECTRIBE box, or in guitar effect). the first PCB is already mounted , i'm waiting for the parts for the VCAs ,and for the lamp... -as it will be two filter ,it will be possible to switch between 2xMONO ,1xSTEREO or serie link (2x4 poles= 48dB\octave, not sure that is really usefull ,but as is just some switch to add..

a phaser : http://www.freeinfosociety.com/electronics/schemview.php?id=571

Hi thorsten , i'm working on a diode ladder filter too, that can fit on the standard format of the midibox board!!!it's based on this one : http://www.freeinfosociety.com/electronics/schematics/audio/diodeladderfilter.html i'm tryin to add the resonnance feedback ,but the VCA to drive it from CV need to be on another board for the while (it's the first time i try to design a pcb ,so...) which design did you choose for yourfilter ? i don't look for such design ,but effect like phaser are "easy" to do ,and i think it could be great additionnal effect pcb for the SID or your other synth.

you're right. and another good idea from this guys : the preset of each control part is stocked in the module itself . maybe this modular design will incite some MIDIboxer to work on a schématic to make PCB ready to plug (for e.g. 4 encoders or 8 buttons) . it's possible to design e.g. a 1xdin board with the hole for 8 buttons or/and 4 enc , even if such design go against the versatility of the MB project ,it 's a way to convainc begginners to start in it . but i think that this modular way in fact is limiting the original modularity of the concept ,and will make the MIDIboxes looks "standardised" ,not a good thing! never forget that you can build a very big MIDIbox if you get enough money to buy one of this gear ...

you're right ,and the there is a picture in the MB gallery that show such a modular box in a fly-case ,as this one!!

T.K. l'explique bien mieux ici : http://69.56.171.55/~midibox/forum/index.php?topic=4190.0 PIC not DEAD...

for the price ,they say about 1000 euros for the "mixer configuration" (but which mixer?) . this society is located near my home (100km !) ,so i think i will go to see their boxes soon and make my report for the community.. ;)

Hi ,i think ther is no realy improvement in using a better transistor on the output ,and you won't get a better SNR than the one of the SID pic himself ,so the noise added by this transistor is really unimportant. maybe it's better to spend time on a well filtered power supply ,the improvment will be more significant! -or add a tube stage on the output ,to add nice noise! ;)
-

nice black nice butons nice jog ,and the inside is realy well designed ,a lesson for my next box... ;)
-
hi ,yourr butons look great ,but maybe it could be easier to do only one buton ,then to mould the other with polyester resin, i've done this for some art piece ,and will probably do this for my next box. you need : polyester resine ,a link in french: http://www.mecanoplast.fr/html/polyester_1.htm silicone past ("silicone élastomère" in french) :here you can see how it look like : http://www.pascalrosier.com/conseil/exemples/figurine/figurine.htm if you buy your resin in a boat shop ,you will pay it about 15euros for 10 liter , the silicone is more expansive ,(15 euros/liter ,but you need realy little quantities).... i will give you more info when i will start to produce buton (and maybe knob) by this way....

:) the greatest support never seen!!!!!
-
: exactly ,and the software upgrade is nothing else than bug correction (and a new logo!) yes ,i've never find best emulation ,it's why i will never sell my boards ,and some of the synth really have a particular sound that make them distinct from other stuff . if you build a dedicated controler for a creamware synth ,you will get something as good as a Clavia synth like the nord ,it's true ,and the system is now really stable ,but to have the 16 voices of a nord lead ,you will nead at least two 800euros boards (+the price of your controler) ,"it don't mean a thing" !!!! And the midi implementation is a beat tedious on this platform !
-
hi , as for all diy project ,you can find cheaper solution build by berhinger ,or on the second hand market ,you're right! so ,it's just to build something personal.. and the other advantages of such a thing is to build only one box that can do all you need ,for exemple ,with some relay ,the VCAs can serve to mix your audio source or be used in your analog synth config ,and the faders cancontrol the VCAs ,or serve to control other thing (with re-routing in mios) ...and i think that the audio in the MIDIbox project must be developped ... i've got this ideas cause i'm building an analog filter in witch i will add a midibox for a complete midification, and the VCAs tech is not too complicate and easy to implemente ..
-
so, the upcoming project : an audio mixer based on VCAs drived by mios ,and relais for the routing . ...with a PCB with 3 VCAs ,you can do one channel ,mono ,with two aux ,and it cost about 40euros ...any comments?
-

http://fr.audiofanzine.com/img/salons/normal/1/6/1624.jpg so ,after that and the so-called "maven" ,i will try to work on this great concept that mix midi controler and audio mixer ...

hi , a bit tedious with my workflow ,how to remove this? (i use kill EQ to reduce my beat to the desired element ,i understand that this option could be usefull when composing ,but not for the way i play one time things are programmed) maybe it could be better to add a mute fonction for each layer? (it's easy to press two button near one from the other ,then the solo butons could work as before ...?
