  1. Ok, it is time to get the ball rolling on the front and rear panels. It will be this design (the alternate): Price: $40 USD for both the front and back + Shipping Shipping: US $5.00 CA $9.00 Rest of World $11.00 Please send an email to [glow=red,2,300]altitude909 at gmail dot com[/glow] with "MB6582 panel" as the subject with your paypal account email and what country this will be shipped to and I will send you an invoice. Please also indicate how many sets you would like. Wilba will send a mass email shortly. A note about paypal payments: Please avoid the E check, I have figured in the paypal fees into the price and the E check can take 12 Days to clear. If you dont have a paypal account, I can accept credit cards through paypal. Cheers. Raph Update: I will be closing the order on 28 Aug 07 and placing the order that Friday
  2. Your problem is that your using photoshop. You NEVER want to rasterize the traces, you always want to leave it as vector art and then it will print perfectly. Try printing it directly from eagle and it will work perfectly
  3. Putting together a group buy from the chinese chip market is a lost cause. There stocks are moved around so quickly that you need to have money in hand when someone has the stock otherwise it will be gone by the time you get everything together.
  4. With Wilba's kit in the mail, I will be looking to sell off my partially built 4 Sid. This includes: 2x20 LCD (SmashTV) 4x R3 Core with 452s 4x R2 SID boards 2x R2 DIN 2x R2 Dout All wiring The SID/Core boards are wired together and have all the necessary modifications (clk line) The SIDs have the rectifiers and regulators removed since the system was designed to a 12 V and 5 V rail This was tested with 6581s and worked fine Please PM offers and I will get pics up later
  5. We are waiting on the final dimensions from Wilba and he will have his LCD waiting when he gets back so we should be able to finalize the dimensions next week but I was planning on starting to take orders this week. I just need to work out the financial stuff
  6. Thanks for that, I did not actually count the "I'm ins", i'll need to coordinate with wilba since he knows who got control pcbs and an email will probably work better than a posting.
  7. So based on the poll, we have at least fifty so I can start thinking about a schedule. I will run this exactly like before but we need to wait on Wilba to get back next week (when he will have his display) and finalize the prints, I need to get the CAD drawings together so I can probably start taking orders once I figure out the pricing
  8. I cant until I get home, there is something jacked with your PDF and it wont open in illustrator 10 correctly (line weights are super thick) and I have CS at home but 10 here at the office
  9. I was getting pretty excited about the SEQ and I would be happy to distribute it here
  10. LCDs are in!! I am starting to ship today
  11. well Limor has been using Salem for 300+ x0xb0xs (including mine) so I think they check out fine and I am also feeling the alternate artwork btw
  12. Ok, Got my quote back from salem: So that works out to be: Rear Panel with Silk Screen 50 pcs: $13.95 100 pcs: $10.70 Front Panel with Silk Screen 50 pcs: $19.80 100 pcs: $15.30 Someone still want to tell me that FPE is a good deal?
  13. Lol, never heard of anyone so broken up over going on vacation ;D
  14. hehe, sorry, I forget not everyone lives in a shop like me. I'll take care of it
  15. This is where Limor had the x0x ones done: http://www.salemmetal.com/ I'll get an RFQ out today and see what they charge but FPE may be the way go in the end Did you tolerance the dims on your print by any chance?
  16. I hear you on all points, the rear panel connections can be listed at the top of the main panel like it is on the x0xbox. Consumer charged $42 for his overlays but he only got 12 made so I would assume that there should be a considerable chop down in price in the potential qtys we are looking at. I already talked to Limor/Ladyada and she gave me the place that she got the x0x ones made so once you have the cad files ready, I can send those there for quote also as well as farming them out locally. I live in Michigan which is a heavily industrialized state so machine shops are quite numerous and with all the plants closing are all hurting for work so it would make sense to have everyone farm out the work and see who can get them done the cheapest.
  17. Its about the tickness of a piece of card stock and about as rigid but it is made out of lexan. Its similar to the label that is used on the evolver but maybe twice as thick. Very durable stuff and you can get all sorts of neat things , like clear windows, with it. Everything is cut out for you and it is a highly precise, industrial label. C0nsumer has the illustrator file on his wiki which may be a good place to start if you want to take a swing at it since it is already laid out for the PT10 case Here is a close up of the one on my x0x:
  18. Heh, I was going to recommend that.. I have that overlay on my x0xb0x and it its wonderful. Their (meaning Maverick) pricing is also very good at quantity so having FPE doing the machining with no engraving and a label would probably still be less than having FPE doing milling and engraving
  19. 130$ ? Thats INSANE EXPENSIVE A 12"x12" (thats 30.48 cm square) 1mm black anodized aluminum plate is $8.88 in quantities of 1, would take a CNC machine about 5 minutes to cut out all the holes, and a reasonable machine shop would charge no more than $30 to do the work provided they got a suitable CAM file. A single color silkscreen should be a setup fee and maybe a few dollars a piece. I am positive we can get this done cheap. Wilba, do you have a CAD file?
  20. The displays will be arriving on Wednesday at the latest so I should be able to start getting these out next week!
  21. Have you tried the HPGL trick for all the engravings?
  22. Ok, the displays are order and will be here on monday. The final quantity was 34 and they were in stock.
