  1. I didn`t know RS have them. :) One local company is RS distributer. The deal only with companies but I can manage that. And, I found black M3 hex button head. Thank you
  2. I think there is no point in posting reservations in this thread. As I know Steve is still in phase of getting the samples, not ordering the batch, and I`m sure he is going to inform us in time about quality and price of these knobs. Lets wait some more details and organize group buy in bulk orders category. And Huck, I dont think price is what is most important about these knobs, it is their small diameter which makes it perfect for apps like MBSEQ. I am in search for pointerless soft touch for a long time but nobody makes it, so this knob is all I could find and only on mentioned korean website, nowhere else. It dont exist in all Re`ans cataloques. ???
  3. So they are not discontinued as distributor said. I`m glad you informed Re`an about that, they want like it.
  4. Well, Jan said he would buy it (order some parts for me instead), and KokiPsiho if he give up.
  5. I`ve seen some prices around. I was sitting but still, It was hard to stay on chair. :-\
  6. I also tried few diferent versions in diferent time periods and I was never satisfied. Maybe things have changed now. I like how you can setup encoder but the result wasn`t good for me. I`ll try again, even I don`t need it now. Sure, but that makes sense only if you are going to print the pattern. I wanted to cut it out of black acrylic so no glueing of transparent foil is necessery and mounting the disc easy precise, sturdy and nice looking. If you need it, I could cut it for you. Also, if you need vector of this image I posted I can publish it here. That sounds good. I`m looking forward to see the results of testing the optocoupler with DIN. Another good and simple idea is suggested by ToS when we talked about these jogs is to use HDD disc as a mirror and glue the foil on it. Optocoupler used is the reflective type so light bounces from the HDD disc. If it works good it could be easy to construct.
  7. I was thinking of using Albs soft-touch pointerless knobs (known from MBSEQ) for tempo and same black with pointer for those 2 switchers (absolute encoders) Browsing trough Albs catalog can be hard and confusing as not all needed informations are present for every article and certainly no same marking pattern. Good luck.
  8. After I cut top discs for MTE`s Traktorizer I started to think of making something for myself but optical high resolution. I tested Encoder design software that Roger mentioned and didn`t liked it... I think it was option of saving just bitmap not vector, so I couldn`t use it to cut the acrylic wheel, so I design one in Corel saved the file and forgot about it till now. I wanted to use same type of optocoupler like that Honeywell. So Roger, did you make some electronics to support the optocoupler or you just conect it to DIN? Another thing... HDD disc stepper is perfect for mounting the discs.
  9. ;D ;D ;D
  10. That was not a problem. Million transactions is normal for every bank. Mike`s bank is "something special" ;D
  11. I trust you but I need you to tell me not the pix. :) Thanks
  12. Here are few pix of testing. Beater is actually mother`s needle for making sweaters, what you call it on English? It is too heavy and will be replaced with aluminum and paper ball instead of plstic. The paper ball is pretty hard but lightweight so beater will be possible to move more aggressively. I think HDD`s head actuators are perfect too because they don`t need the spring for 0 position. :) I just love my new percussionist and need to find him company. Another thing that is not imortant is that I didn`t took out the electronic so I rewire the PCB and have working SMD LED in parallel to the HDD head so it lits up by the pulse. :)
  13. Khol, thanks for the pix, I`ve seen it on your website. Because cameras lies I wanted you to answer me verbally. How white is really white using these filters? I really see no diference on pictures. How things are in real?
  14. 15 from 50... not bad! :) I wouldn`t expect more than 10.
  15. Thank you Roger, looks like a good place. Need to check it in detail.
  16. That is what I thought too but didn`t do any exploration on that subject. So, from 100 peaces of 733`s what is best one can expect to get?
  17. Mike, thanks for the long post. I have alot of good ideas but my problem is I`m not that good with electronics nor programming, so i can just integrate some design into my idea, and not design one from scratch. That sounds like something I was thinking of... It must be some way to made short pulse last as I desire by adjusting some kind of hold trimmer. So, pulse stretcher, you say. Do you have some schematic I could use? I must say, I will use rather different kind of solenoid - a HDD head actuator. It is powerful enough, probably because of neodium magnets and dont have much of winding so maybe they induce less current that can potentially damage the driver. I already made small rig with beater and pulse it with just few volts, and It strikes pretty well. :) Is there something you advise me to check about them? I think they are perfect for all I want to do, and it`s recycled. I`ve been wondering around for a long time for something I could use instead of winding my own solenoids, and I feel this could be the way to go. What do you say?
  18. Sure, thanks Tob. :)
  19. M3 length is not much important as I can cut it, but 10mm would be just right. They should be hex or Phillips type.
  20. Yes, these kind of screws are used whenever hooking is unwanted, like skateboard decks.
  21. Anybody knows some source of machined screws with good selection in Europe? I`m having hard time finding some nice black screws locally. McMaster (www.mcmaster.com) is good source for US crowd. Something like this one but black edition would be great.
  22. Those VFDs are just great! Where do you get them from? Also, how well is turned into white using filters? It is hard to see it on pictures as camera usually dont show proper light colours.
  23. Hey jimp, what is that LCD?
  24. Well, it was easy to miss it. 2k pieces just burned! :P
