yup Dengel is right - that's what I was asking for - you need MOMENTARY buttons for ableton sounds like you really need to do a whole lot more reading - if you are having trouble with this, you're gonna get really confused later on unless you read up..

how about a bit more info?? what sort of box are you building? what is it an interface for? if you're building a post box, you won't need any buttons, if you're building a midibox you probably will... ;)

did you use silcone grease? I figured I'd better sort the avatar out seeing as you've raised the game. Still hasn't got quite the same class (or should that be ass?) as your's...

Hi hdnine, Yep, all the info is on the board and the forums - you've just gotta find it. Part of the vibe behind this board is getting people to learn more about electronics, that's one of the reasons people are so keen for people to do their own research. There are some fantastic people on here, very knowledgeable and very helpful and friendly BUT you will generally find you'll get lots of help IF you've done your home work and take the time to very clearly describe your problem. What people tend not to take too kindly to, is people expecting an easy ride and for other people to do all the thinking for them. I've personally learned so much over since I've been on here, it has really got me into electronics again in a way that I haven't been since I was a kid.
