hehehe - I'll second that! It is a bit odd innit! I think I'll grab those caps from Farnell myself, but thanks for the offer and the link.

the HD-25 are a great DJing headphone, very rugged, loud, good bass response for hearing kicks in a loud club and you can replace every part on them. I have a pair that have been all over the world with me and are still in use all the time. The Sony 7506's are the bomb from a sound quality point of view, they wipe the floor with the HD25s.

cheers for the link Prof - they look pretty closely matched to me! I need 30 of them, so I doubt you'll have that many sitting around. When is your next order with Farnell?

das-labor is open source AFAIK - it just looks a bit lite on documentation (in English anyway)

Use of Switch mode Power Supplies with audio equipment.
DavidBanner replied to /tilted/'s topic in Miscellaneous
I know for a fact that switch mode psu can be used on top end amps and be a dream to run, no ill effects to other equip. It's all down to the PSU design, which is a bit of a black art apparently. I think the big problem we are facing here with switch mode psu is that they are not designed for audio, hence the nightmares I've had with my laptop psu.... -
oh wow - an offer to clean up the code for me??? thanks stryd ;)

If anyone is waiting to get Software etc etc for the dB Live please let me know, I'm planning on doing a full release and documentation but other stuff is demanding my time at the moment. If anyone is waiting I'll push it up my priority list, but I give no promises on timelines for delivery....

mmm, good point, I only check when there seems to be a DCI (dead cat issue), but others might not understand the perils. Also I
