Invoices will be sent out tomorrow. My paypal account is a premier account which means the same fees are involved (3.4% + £0.20) for all types of payment. I will therefore only accept Paypal balance transfers and debit/credit cards, this hopefully will mean that I can get the payments in faster and therefore be able make the order sooner. G

In all honesty I don't see that they would be able to ship them individually, that was the point of getting a bulk order together as they are used to dealing with large companies, not small frye like us. We're all getting some quality knobs out of this at wholesale prices so personally I have no complaints. The £3 postage that I'm charging is a flat rate which is a lot less than I originally thought it would be. G

I think you've got the wrong end of the stick here. The EUR15 is per registered envelope posted to me in the UK (not a neighbouring country), Obviously they'll be able to put quite a few knobs in one envelope, stryd_one mentioned that they managed to fit 300 knobs in one envelope for him. If they can fit all 500 odd into one envelope for EUR15 then it isn't too bad, if it's too envelopes then it's a lot more on postage than what DHL Germany charge. We're ordering over 600 knobs here so the package does need to be insured on it's way to the UK. Initially it looks like the cost per-knob including postage and taxes is going to be something like £0.77 ea. Postage from the UK to anywhere in Europe will still be as quoted in the original post. I'm waiting to find out about the postage from Germany before I send out the invoices as I don't want to end up out of pocket over this. G

UPDATE! Balthasar from ALBS has got back to me, I'm just trying to sort out postage at the moment. He mentioned using "registered post envelopes" at a postage price of EUR15 per envelope which is going to be quite expensive as I imagine we will need a lot of envelopes for over 500 knobs. I'm currently trying to get him to post them through DHL and will give an update in the next few days. Please expect invoices very soon and make sure that you have a paypal account and funds available. Any questions then please PM me. G

Wow, is that Ayers rock? Who was Ayer anyway? As I say, I'll get it delivered as long as your there for a long enough window to sign for it! If not then I'll have to bill you for the return postage! I really need to get myself to Australia at somepoint, I have a friend in Townsville (Queensland) so may pop across in 2009 after catching the 2009 eclipse in Shanghai. I doubt I'll be hand-delivering a knob up there though, I hate heights :-\

I'll look at C then. Is it a case of just learning C or do you need to learn C for the PIC, Just trying to get my head round it all at them moment. Untill discovering ucapps I thought that PICs had to be programmed in their own special programming language! TBH i'm not looking at learning it for midibox purposes to begin with as I feel that will be a long way off, I'm wanting to start on something very simple and then maybe I'll be able to consider working with MIOS stuff in the future. Stryd_one. I'm not even sure what code blocks are, I'm a complete newbie to this! I will be using windows so will probably be using codeblocks as asvised by Rio. No rush on updating the documentation as I've still got a long way to go, I think my first step will be building the PIC programmer as I need this for my midibox anyway. Thanks for the advice. G

Could be difficult, I like my lustfull virgins to be shaven :o That's fine, postage will be £5,000,000, I'll only send the package "international signed for" to somewhere on Ayers Rock, it will take between 2- 20 years to deliver depending on the grade of the virgin hair. I'm sorry though, I can't arrange re-delivery if you're not there to sign. The paypal invoice is on it's way ;) G

Is your order for a single transparent blue knob to be delivered to the North Pole by a combination of Albatross, Narwhal and Husky-Sled by chance? ;D On a serious note though, I can not add any more people to the order as I have already sen in for the quote. I used to have an iron very similar to that one. The tips are very (cheap) simple, just a tapered piece of metal rod. I ended up replacing the tip for the end of a nail which seemed to do the job a lot better than the original. G

I'm wanting to learn about PIC programming. I have no coding experience other than a bit of SAS and a little bit of basic (started to learn as a kid in the early 90's). Can anyone suggest any online resources which are easy to learn from, there seem to be quite a few out there and I'm sure that some are better than others. What language would be best to start learning with? G

Just to reiterate, There are no transparent knobs available. I want to get these knobs ordered very soon so I will not be accepting any orders after this afternoon. If anybody needs to cancel their order then please let me know ASAP, failure to do this will mess up the ordering process for everybody else. Please can everybody check through the list and make sure that I have them down for the correct amount/colour of knobs and inform me of any discrepancies in the list. I will be double checking through my PM folders later to check details. Please can everybody make sure they have enough funds available for at least the price I stated in the original post and are able to send a paypal payment. I will be collecting payment as soon as I get a quote from ALBS, again, failure to make a payment on time could jeopardise the order for eveybody else as once I get a quote I will not be able to reduce the amount of parts that require. The payment must be sent as pounds sterling, Unfortunately I cannot accept other currencies. The quote could take a few days as i understand that ALBS are not the quickest of people to deal with. Once I get a quote I will send paypal requests to everybody for the amount of the order. Any questions then please feel free to send me a PM. Regards, Goblinz

I've just found ou that the clear knobs are not available, I've put everybody down for the alternatives that they've ordered. Please can the people that havent given me an alternative let me know if they still want some knobs ordering and in which colour. G
