I haven't ordered from allelectronics before, It was just the first link I have found regarding center detent pots. They seem to have good deals for some pots but it looks like spares so you won't find the same brand with different values that often. And regarding the futurlec pots, there is no problem with their control or fine tuning it's just that they do not feel like pots you could find on a Vestax mixer, again for $0.50 they do the job. My advise, order 1 of each kind from futurlec when you order some other components and check them yourself, best way to find out if they are right for you. If you wise for high quality potentiometers, look for Spectrol 148/149, Up to $5 a piece. Best regards, Asaf

Hi unrise and welcome, Regarding pots, I use the ones you've mentioned from futurlec and they are quite nice, not as smooth as I would have liked but for that price no complains. The sliders work the same as the rotary pots, just takes more panel space ;) Travels wise, you have to see for your self, sometimes a sorter travel works better. I have tried once to fit a screw in knob on a knurled shaft, it doesn't work well, as the pot has a gap and fastening the knob would distort the shaft and the knob wouldn't sit properly, you can try inserting a wood / metal bar into the gap. You could try a bit of alcohol to see if the paint goes off, I have done this with some chips that I bought on ebay a while ago, if they are relabeled it would take off the new layer of paint.

Sasha, I wasn't clear enough, I'm not worried about the fitting of the upper panel with the case but with the lower part, the pcb with the components. Thats why I have asked the total thickness, as the sandwich panel would be thicker then the original 1.5mm panel there could be a problem with him "sitting" on top of the components, I do not have the pcb at hand so I can not take any measurements but I guess that in fitting it to the case it would have to be attach closer / lower on the pcb and might apply pressure to some high components.

Sasha, just a question, the sandwich type panel, how thick would it be ? just wondering if it could be a problem with the pcb mounting and components not sticking enough.

It seems that young people that only use technology, computers... lack some crucial skills, their vocabulary is lacking the basics and they misuse words, There is a new language, SMS language, teens start to talk the way they write SMS. Nowadays the advance of technology and global communication, with all the good that came, I am using it (midibox ;)) right now and learning a lot in the process, brought people instant and sometimes not relevant information, It's seems O.k to accept all even low quality. I think, more after seeing this video, that the pressure nowadays to push the children as soon as possible to walk, to talk, to learn doesn't let the "evolution" of a person to happen as It should, as this TechAge "lets" people misuse it, "The child need to learn, Way give him a book when he can watch TV instead, those 4 colored teddies can teach him how to talk better"

Hello, Right now we have the minimum for the 2nd option color scheme, if you have not read through I'll sum it quickly. Minimum order for color type = 1000 pieces which we didn't reach (yet) Sifam have 2 types of those knobs already in stock, 500 of each, and they are willing to sell them. (the same that are in the photos, have a look) I will close this order on the 15th of May, So take your time and see if you like to join and agree to the colors option. If we reach 1000 on any type we can have a discussion regarding the color, if not then Spinlt type is red on black, D type is Gray on black. Best regards, Asaf

Hi Goblinz, Glad you are in on this but I see no option of getting the D type with red pointer, right now we do not even reach the 1000 minimum for the white. The only option with the D type is the gray on black. (for now) Best regards, Asaf

As i see that there is no progress in this bulk order we can consider taking an offer, if it's still relevant - I'll have to check, that was offer to me by Sifam, they have 500 red on black in splint type shaft and 500 gray on black D-type shaft type -as seen in the photos that they are willing to sell for the same price, I just want to check if the people who are interested are O.k with this color scheme. Simone, I agree with you on every part, I have worked last year in a music store and I remember when all the new models from AKG arrived so I had to check them out, as heard before that they have great headphones. What amazed me most is not only the lack of mids and a flat sound but the fact that all the models, portables and monitor alike sounds almost the same. I remember when checking the sennheiser line, portables and HD series, that each and every headphone had different sound. I have the PX200 for almost 3 years and still kicking and at home the HD280 that for $99 are one of the best monitoring headphones I heard.
