  1. Sasha, Thats good to hear, if I could I would have send you some cold ones ;D About the orders from mouser and digikey, you should check futurlec as well, At least for all the passive components and they have some of the ic's and voltage regulators for a much cheaper prices and this could be ordered separately as their shipping cost are low as well. All the parts that needs exact fitting (encoders, pots...) should be ordered from mouser / digikey. Best regards, Asaf
  2. Open that beer now, Sasha or you'll never get to it.
  3. Sasha, That's what I have told her, that I would (hypothetically) rather order it again in case the post lose it than to pay that much on shipping, but no good, I have only once lost a package with over 300 international shipping and even that package was found a year later in the post office so my odds are still good ;D Asaf
  4. Hi ganchan, I need some stuff from digikey as well so I would love joining a bulk order, As I know their prices are the same with in all of their stores so count me in. I think that my order would be around 20-30 euros. PM me when and if you are planning to order. Best regards, Edit: Hi Vlad, seen your post only after, guess you type faster them me. We need a digikey order as well as some parts are cheaper there/only there. So... ganchan, I guess this gets you closer to the 150 euros order. Asaf
  5. Hi DargonMaster Canada is different from Israel ;D In terms of shipping cost from the U.S it's seems that recently all the big companies don't want to deal with International shipping and when they do they mostly use the express shipping method. I have tried to talk with the costumers service but they don't agree any other way. If futurlec had all the parts I need I would not bother with mouser and most of the online stores that's located in Europe have higher prices on parts. Being in Israel isn't fun in terms of collecting parts... Edit: Ok, so they got new lower FedEx prices, $50 which is still too much for a $25 order Asaf
  6. Hi all, I have an order waiting on mouser, waiting because they have change their international shipping method. The order in $25 worth and they wants $60 for shipping it to Israel. If there's anyone U.S based that orders from them or is willing to accept an order from me and reship it to Israel I will be much more happy / not as much broke ;) Thanks and best regards, Asaf
  7. John, Thanks for the info, it's good to know they are usable. Best regards, Asaf
  8. If I'll see that there are enough people caring for this we can open a thread in the Bulk Order area, we just need someone That lives in the U.S to cut down the shipping cost ;) so counting so far it's, asafnetzer - 2 lcd's DenDer - 2 lcd's ganchan - ?
  9. This just gives us all more time finishing all the other projects that's sits in boxes all around the house. ^ This could be a great shirt design ;D
  10. I find that most of the times U.S / Canadian based stores have significantly lower prices but the shipping cost outside the Americas can cause a heart attack, even more reasons to do a bulk order and send it to a U.S based member of this community.
  11. Hi, Of course I would share the link, ;D White on Blue @ $9.99 http://www.divineo.com/cgi-bin/div-us/zz-xb-lcd-b Black On Green @ $7.99 http://www.divineo.com/cgi-bin/div-us/zz-xb-lcdxx Unfortunately they only have 2 options of the crystalfontz 20X4 lcd's as linked above. The black on green is a bit boring for my taste and I do not know if the white on blue would hurt the eyes so I was wondering if anyone had any experience with them. About the shipping, I was wrong, $11 for 1-2 for Europe / Israel (me) $16 for 3-4 / Registered mail option, less for U.S / Canada Edit : Shipping cost of 10 Lcd's to the U.S cost $24, 20 Lcd's @ $37 so Bulk order could save a lot of money if anyone is Interested even a combined order of the 2 color schemes, As they are a store and would not mind combining. We could also check for discount ;) they accept paypal as well so it could be done easily order wise, so if anyone wants just let me know otherwise I would just order 2 for me to check them out. Best Regards, Asaf
  12. Hi, As I do not have much experience with Lcd displays I was wondering if anyone here worked with a white on blue one ? I have found those for a nice $10 price, $16 shipping for up to 10. There are other color options but they do not go under $25 + shipping most of the times. Thanks and best regards, Asaf
  13. This thread starts to look like a game that I used to play as a child, Where one would write a line and on word below it, fold the line and the next guy would keep on the "story" with just that one word guiding him till the end of the page just to have a total mess of a story created.
  14. Vlad, I'm most certainly am, ;D found about it before I have joined the midibox forum but now I'm deep in.
  15. :) Ofcourse no student would buy a Ferrari just for a project and as a designer you should know how to work without it, but It will always be simpler and more efficient to have the product in hand, if and when you design an all new object/product then it's all about you and the needs of the client/market or who ever this design is aimed for (even self wise). Best Regards, Asaf
  16. I think you have missed the project Idea, It's not about soldering or presenting the MB-6582 as a final project, It's about creating the graphic environment for a product, In this case a synth, could be Milk as well.
  17. Hi Vlad, I "just" have an old aunt in N.Y that I really don't want to bother with that, And I think she is not clear minded anyway ;D Anyone here willing to do me this favor ? Asaf
  18. Hi I have just looked at http://www.electronicsic.com/index.htm and they have 2SC536F / 2SK30 / 2SC1583 / LA4140 for a reasonable price and they charge normal pricing for shipping worldwide, on a different note i have looked at all the other parts (ic's, resonators, diodes) at mouser and although they have reasonable prices for those, $20 for all needed plus spares as I always order they are asking for a crazy $60 shipping to Israel. Asaf
  19. Hey Jaicen, Hope all is good, or at least getting better. Best regards, Asaf
  20. Hi Kartoshka, Just wanted to know if you got a few spares, would love one. Shipping would be quicker :) Jerusalem ---> Tel Aviv Asaf
