Ponoko front panel for Wilba's control surface pcb
latigid on replied to findbuddha's topic in MIDIbox BLM
Maybe not the place to discuss this, but I was under the impression the BLM project was a cost-saving exercise, i.e. using ordinary tact switches with home-brew buttons ("feet") and RG LEDs to shine through, all on a double layer PCB of course! :) I was only asking of yours as you seem to be using the same switches and LEDs throughout the whole design. -

Madness! Are you going to DIY your own BLM?? -
Ponoko front panel for Wilba's control surface pcb
latigid on replied to findbuddha's topic in MIDIbox BLM
I'm in New Zealand, would consider ordering a few of these to send out to people if we could agree on a fixed format. Question: I think I remember a clear acrylic WilbaSeq panel a while back, is it robust enough to handle JB weld? Or judging from your drawing were you contemplating normal panel screws? Might be useful putting a thread in the Bulk Orders section? I don't have the PCB yet; I'd need one at some stage ;) -

OARSUM I see a methyl group, the rarely used PPP transistor and what looks like a flux capacitor.

Sure does. I was trying to superimpose the YT vid on top of Kanye, looked slightly better in the preview when it was all on one line. Howabout this: Not so funny when you have to explain. Have a nice day!

MB-SEQ V3/V4 Control Surface PCB and matching case
latigid on replied to Wilba's topic in MIDIbox SEQ
Re: julianf Awesome work! Is this what we need to get a run of panels and WilbaSEQ PCBs on the way? Or has the motivation run dry? (Yes I did see Wilba's post a few days ago.) If it's a happening thing I'd be happy to help with whatever organising I could. Edit: I guess I'm assuming two things (typical of me, sorry): 1) Would julianf (or somebody else) be prepared or able to produce a large quantity of panels? 2) Would Wilba (or somebody else) be prepared to order a large quantity of PCBs and ship them? From Wilba's previous post, probably he is not keen to do this. -
Nice, here's another one (not quite as fancy) from my side of the world: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Trons

Setup is drawing too much current
latigid on replied to NorthernLightX's topic in Testing/Troubleshooting
I'm having this problem too, how much current draw for should I expect for a SEQ V4, I get 1.3A on my 7805 which then thermally shuts down. Doin' it rong indeed.. If only a Wilba SEQ was easy to get a hold of... -
Hi there, and welcome. I think you missed out on this by about 11.5 months ;) You could start a new thread to see if anyone else is interested though.

If you don't need motorfaders, you could use MBHP AOUT(_NG) instead? The complexity would depend on the required voltages for the EHX.

Simply amazing! MIDIBox Of The Week for sure.

Not enough information, sorry. Can you please be more specific about your problem? Your LCD works correctly? Is it an issue with your soldering in the DOUT chain ?

I've got Cubase 5 on PC. I haven't messed around with the MIDI part of it, but it looks like you can setup specific "MIDI devices" (i.e. one for each synth) where the outgoing datastream can be configured and filtered. pp328 in the Cubase 5 manual.

$100k, good god! LED matrix, anybody?

Nice work! Glad to help

And are any unused inputs on the multiplexers also grounded?
-
I'd suspect pot wiring. Are both of your pot's outer legs connected? I.e. one to Vs and one to Vd? If the pot is not grounded, you will never get true zero. Probably this is what the Wiki says.
