  1. I think it should be doable to make a Wavetable Module. Which would fit into the modular Midibox Family. If you would team this module up with a Core8 and Midibox64 firmware, it should be possible to send QS300 mode to the DBXG50 through a button for instance.
  2. I don't mind contributing by designing something which would benefit more people. However if we want to make a propper design: 1 x 5VDC 1 x 9VDC 1 x 12VDC 1 x -12VDC you have a couple of options: Using multiple transformers Using a toroid transformer with multiple secundairy voltages Use a 12VAC transformer and put some big resistors in front of the 5V and 9V regulators Less desirable Problem with option: Needs a lot of space Hard to find Lots of heat dispensation My prefered option would be 2. But so far i haven't found the propper toriod transformer yet. So if someone knows a good part for this.....
  3. I am open to suggestions. So it might be a good idea to look into the crowbar design. Do you mean something like this?
  4. I had a good look at the catalog of molex. But i couldnt find a match. It might be an idea to e-mail the guys at Use Audio, and ask them what it is.
  5. The picture is in And as you can see its impossible to reverse it as it is symmetrical.
  6. Isn't it a better idea to solve this at the root of the problem? The C64 PSU is not the most reliable power source. I have seen a couple of post on this forum on this issue. And had similar feedback from people still using the C64. I quickly made a liniear powersupply design: Since the SIDS are CMOS technology, i added diodes to the output as a latchup protection. Ideally this should be fed from 2 transformers or a toroid with 2 secondary voltages. Feeding it from a 2 x 12V transformer could be done, but then the 78S05 would have to cope with a lot of heat. That will reduce the max current output. Edit: Just realised the 78S09 could very well be a normal 7809. As the current draw is supposed to be about 320mA. In that case C1 could be a 2220uF one and the bridge diodes could be 1A.
  7. Just checked and that connector will fit nicely.
  8. I had a look for you. I held a 2.54 rm strip next to it and it seems to be 2.54. But it's not the KK kind. Still looking what it is though.
  9. I had a look at the Meeblip this afternoon and had the same thought. Would put my money on the STM32 if i had to make a choice.
  12. What type of PSU where you using?
  13. Good to hear the hum is gone. Pin 21 and 22 is Serial Data Output for channel AB and CD. That's why it's distorted. If it wasn't distorted, why would one need the YAC512. Since there is no hum and you can hear a pop, it is very likely the problem is related to the YAC512. If all the voltages check out and you cannot find any solder/component problem on the board, i would recommend to replace one to see if that solves the problem.
  14. That's very cool. The prices at Conrad are killing me.
  15. wonders when Kaffeseq will be released

  16. I am looking for 4 x of 8580 or 6582 to complete my MB6582. Let me know if anyone has some.
  17. It's 6,75 euro for a 10KG or less package.
  18. Well that's basically what this person does for 2,50 euro and then he sends it with the dutch postal company as he lives near the border. But it sure does sound like someone is volunteering :ahappy:
  20. If you had a look at the datasheet of either the 7812/7815, you would have seen that it's well within the specified limits.
  21. Guess i am not the only one who forgets to double check his orderlist  I however tend to not make my mistakes known to the world  Although now knowing you can piss off nILS with it....
  22. Well, the J5 connector on the PCB says +, GND and -. So i would say bipolar.
  23. As nILS said before you need 2V extra for the 7812 todo its work, so 12Vac transformer will do just fine.
