Ik heb geen ervaring met faders. Maar als ik de plaatjes bekijk: dan ziet het er niet echt plat uit. Wellicht dat voor een groot touchscreen eenzelfde truuk uitgehaald zou kunnen worden als voor de MBHP_MF module. Dus een dedicated MCU voor het grote screen. Echter niemand heeft dat ooit gedaan en dat zou je dus helemaal zelf moeten ontwikkelen en programmeren.

I am sure that the thought "if only someone would make new sids" crossed the minds of many of us. But to be honest to get a hold of the mask would be quite an achievement on it's own. Then having them produced in a fab at reasonable costs, well that would be nearly impossible. The market for sid chips isn't big, only us idiots are willing to buy them. And with releasing a couple of thousand chips on the market, prices would pummel.

Welkom op het Midibox forum. Ik zie dat je een hoop ideeën hebt. Zo zien we hier met enige regelmaat posts van mensen met fantastische ideeën. Het grote probleem voor een ieder van ons is, om die ideeën te concretiseren. Allereerst raad ik je aan om je eens goed in te lezen. Dan zal je denk ik snel ontdekken dat een aantal aspecten van je controller al reeds gedaan zijn. Met andere woorden, dus relatief gemakkelijk te implementeren. Andere zaken zullen enige programmeer skills vereisen om het werkend te krijgen (bv. trackpad). Weer andere zaken (bv. high resolution touchscreen) zijn op dit moment bijna onmogelijk te implementeren. Tot 3,5 inch hebben TFT schermen nog wel een controller. Maar groter (daar ziet je ontwerp naar uit) dan werken ze zonder een controller en dan moet een cpu al het werk doen. De ARM gebaseerde midibox core32 is daar simpelweg niet krachtig genoeg voor. Aan jou om uit te zoeken wat je daadwerkelijk kan maken van deze controller.

Omg, i wish i found 29 on my loft. Anyways, i am not sure the price was over the odds. Recently Amigula's 8580 sales have been around 30 euro's aswell. I have even seen one go to 67 euro :frantics:

I had similar problem on my MB FM when the voltage was to low. So check with a multimeter if you have +5V over VD and VS.

Grmbl, i forgot to look at reichelt. So i bought the same one on ebay for about twice that. Well at least it's a pretty decent one.

I got the connectors today. And as i suspected they fit like a glove. Conrad Ref is: art. nr. 740549 - xhp-2 art. nr. 740617 - xhp-4 the crimp connectors needed are: art. nr. 741112

I think i found the connector type. By the look of things it might very well be the JST type XHP. I have ordered them at conrad to see if it is really the right one.

The schematic should be not much different then a Core8, SID module and bankstick combined. So any measurements described in the appropriate module description all apply.

How can we help, do you have the pcb design online? and what program did you use?

I recently bought 3 x C64 and 1 x C128 german ebay. I payed slightly less then 200 euro for them :whistle:

Only just noticed this topic. I bought pcb for 9090 project about a week ago. With the MB808 in the back of my mind i already thought about looking into a nice sequence solution for it as well. Very cool indeed. Guess i don't have to design something myself :thumbsup: I will be following this with great interest. I would be interested in a bulk order if there is going to be one.

Welkom hier. De keus is vrij simpel. Wil je nu aan de gang? dan moet je kiezen voor Core8. Core32 heeft een fantastisch potentieel. Echter een groot deel van de firmwares waaronder de MB64 zijn nog niet geport naar het nieuwe platform.

I made a quick schematic which should fit the bill. JP6=5VDC JP7=+12VDC + -12VDC JP11=MIDI IN (TTL) Any comments are welcome.

I dont have real experience with a Switching Powersupply. Does it help to remove the noise to put it in front of a 7805?
