I can't exactly figure out where to post this, so let it be here. I have a very strange bug: When i connect my LPC17 MBSEQ to MBFM it seemed like there's no midi data received by MBFM. BUT! When i connect it via midi thru enabled device (like Midipal or Shruthi) - all ok. When i connect midi keyboard directly to MBFM - all fine. And connection to midi port of PC also gives me good result. The MBSEQ works fine, being directly connected with Shruti, Midipal and PC. When i connect midi cable (with other end in the air) to MIDI OUT of MBFM - some midi data appears, but with a lot of dropped out notes. Non working config: [MBSEQ]--->[MBFM] Working config: [Keyboard]--->[MBFM] [MBSEQ]--->[MIDIPAL]--->[MBFM] [MBSEQ]--->[MIDIPAL]--->[sHRUTHI]---->[MBFM] [MBSEQ]--->[sHRUTHI]--->[MBFM] [PC]--->[MBFM] Half working config: [MBSEQ]--->[MBFM]----> Scratching my head.... :unsure:

Can you confirm, that AZTECH have OPL and DAC?

I've removed additional caps from OPL3 board and voila!!! No noise at all! So increasing capacity of PSU output caps + adding 10 ohm resistors totally eliminates the noise.

Have no words to thank you, Thorsten!!! With 100 uf caps at OPL3 board the noise decreased by half (MBFM_noise_capacitors.mp3) Than i've changed 47 uf PSU caps with 200 uf and added 2x10 ohm resistor Aaaand the noise disappeared completely!!!!! Hello, friends! Can you please listen to attached mp3 and tell, is it normal, or something wrong? Noise remains when i disconnect LCD and CS from the core. So far i can not exclude PSU (it's one from dvd player +12v/-12v/+5v) but noise lasts about half a second after switching PSU off. Cable from core to OPL3 board is about 12cm, soldered directly to core. Thanks in advance. And the OPL3 +5v led lights with only J2 connected. MBFM_noise.mp3

Joris, you're so lazy! I've made my SEQv4 without any questions at forums and with only one factory PCB (LPC Xpresso) This forum has comprehensive information about it. The main thing is your desire and respect to community members :ahappy:
