Hello...

I hope everyone who is stranded at home has found a good occupation!

Here some picture of the Desktop version enclosure.

Shape of the side face, I found some ebony for the wood sides ;)
Check of the assembly before paint.

Some more pictures in the HAARP album.

Thank you Bruno for the great job!

I was thinking about "pure" analog clock (DinSync or just analog pulses), because I try to avoid any MIDI conversion... this is the reason why my actual main clock is coming from a Cirklon unit, which drives all my drum machines via DinSync (and also my TB-303). On the MIDI part, I only send notes, no clock information... ;-)

The other clock source I sometimes use, is Roland's SBX-1 which also has DinSync...

Anyway, that's not an issue with HAARP at all! Keep on going!

I've played a lot with Xfer's Cthulu, a real arpeggiator in HW would be awesome.

This one has a pot for each parameter, it changes the game! ;)

Is there a way to get some boards / case to build one?

I will propose it soon now, I hope in the next months...

  • Antichambre changed the title to The HAARP, a Hardware Advanced Arpeggiator.

nice.  Need to start paying more attention here, lots of great projects slipping under the radar

Thanks!

I spent my free time of the two last month to get the firmware I wanted for it, that's done
I started to write the manual during few days before leaving France for work but it seems coding in C is easier than setting a page or a column break in word software! ahah!

Best regards
Bruno

Hi Bruno.

Whenever you'll be ready, you can pass the manual to me for reviewing.

BR,
Flavio.

PS: any news about the enclosure?

Quick test for CC automation.

The HAARP is only connected to my laptop and Ableton Live is running. Live gives the sync.
Only the Drum Track is programmed. I play with 4 differents clips.
There's 3 synth used, BAss, Saw and Choir they are some of the basic provided with Ableton, no sequence, direct input are activated on the synth tracks.
Preset, Mute change, and some of the parameters of the HAARP are automated, by a previous MIDI record.

Hi Flavio,

The enclosure is still one of the two prototypes Adrian sent me. They are not *perfect* ;)
Don't worry, the first *perfect* one is for you... I know it's long but I currently have a lot of work and the covid don't make things easy.

Best regards
Bruno

PS: And thank you I love Gus Gus, that's a great compliment

Hey Bruno - would you mind give us all an update on the status of the HAARP project and the hardware enclosure? I haven't heard from you since February 2021...

Thanks!

I sent you a message.

A quick video demo, made by a friend. I just gave it to him like that, without much explanation.
The user manual is still not ready (blame me) but he managed to catch the thing even though he only used a few of the features.

That's awesome!

I can confirm that the basic/initial (and most useful) functions can be accessed and learnt even without any manual (I too have a unit from Bruno).

Thanks and keep it rolling!

Yes it it polyphonic, you have 8 simultaneous voices you can route on a dedicated midi channel/port !
