  1. I'd say stick with the 10.5V setting, then. To go lower does not harm the 7809 in the sense that it will break, but the input voltage might be too low to get a stable 9V at its output. A too low output voltage will prevent your SID from working properly.
  2. Hi, isn't the Behringer remote-controllable via MIDI? According to chapter 18.2 in the manual, almost all controls (channel faders, rotary encoders, and most buttons) can send and receive MIDI messages. If the DDX3216 is not broken already, it might make more sense to place a MIDIbox before the DDX's MIDI-in and -out, so that it just translates the incoming and outgoing MIDI messages to what you need. The Core32 with its 2 MIDI ports is just perfect for that.
  3. Hi, this is not a big deal. As you seem to be no programmer, may I suggest that you start coding using the C language - this is much easier than changing the assembler code for MIDIbox 64. Take a look at the LED controlling example and see if this makes sense to you. If so, you should go to the WIKI to install the toolchain and start coding. It is really simple and straight forward, and what you need is easily implemented even without programming experience by just following the implementation example above.
  4. The audio circuitry could be based on Lyle's project, I'm sure he has some valuable comments to give! If you make all the fancy, expensive stuff optional this could become an interesting project.
  5. Hi François, MIDIboxes are easy to build yourself, even if you have very little or no knowledge in electronics. We are a very helpful community, and we encourage everybody to build their own boxes. Just buying devices is not encouraged, as you will then not be able to troubleshoot if anything goes ever wrong with your box. If you have built the box yourself, then you will have enough knowledge about it to be helped via the forum! Go to the ucapps website for some reading about the hardware! Best, ilmenator
  7. Have you updated the SVN repository before compiling? If so, then you are probably having an issue with the PATH, as the makefile mechanism has changed recently, see
  8. Hey, the routing has not been started, so this is a good time for criticism  1) I would not put the LCD that much up against the upper border - the front panel will look nicer if the LCD sits more "embedded", somewhere inside the front panel. 2) There is a lot of unused space in the central part of your front panel. It will most probably not look very nice. 3) The encoders are at the bottom of the front panel, i.e. you will have to reach over them in order to access the buttons below the LED matrix. It also means that there is nowhere to rest your hands - not sure if this is an issue for an enclosure the size of the Pactec one, though. 4) Unless you are a left-handed person, it might not be such a good idea to have the matrix on the right-hand side of the panel. I would assume that the "main" hand should be mostly tweaking the rotary encoders? Hope that helps somewhat!
  9. You'll have to revert back from the "c:/users/" style to "/c/users/" - the first works with MIOS_8, the second is required for MIOS_32 since the latest change in the makefile mechanism (late September this year). Basically, you have to specify MIOS32_PATH in Unix style. E.g., write: set MIOS32_PATH=/C/mios32/trunk if MIOS32 repository is located at your C: drive Best, ilmenator PS: I just see that you have Programmer status: just go to see an explanation of what is happening.

You have to look at the official exchange rates that the customs offices in each country / in the EU use. Usually, these rates are updated once a month. Still, if the value is at the brink of the NOK 200 / (put in your local limit here) limit, it remains a gamble, due to the time it takes SmashTV to handle the order, and shipping time. I am not sure how this can be handled satisfactorily in the future?!
  11. MB808 should be very close to MBSEQ v3, in which a "Format" menu exists. In the manual it says: Not sure if that helps somewhat?

That's good news - I'll wait some more and pray for the exchange rate then  Best, ilmenator

Hi Tim, remember we discussed about Norway via PM? Please see if you can include us as well... :flowers: Thanks, ilmenator
  16. The whole thing looks like being covered with a Lexan overlay? Where did you order that?
  17. Dutch post / TNT used to be significantly cheaper than Deutsche Post / DHL (when I was living there - before the Euro came). I don't think that has changed much?
  18. I did not look closely, but some of the resistors seem to have a very small footprint...
  19. You want to go the Core32 route, both because that makes coding somewhat easier (you do not have to optimize your code that soon / you do not max out memory so easily), and it is more future safe in terms of hardware you can attach to it (some of the modules, e.g. the ETH module, work with Core32 only). Best regards, ilmenator
  24. Up in this thread it was suggested to move the circuitry around the four ICs a little (1cm?) to the right, in order to save on board space on the left - is this still an option? To my eye, this should fit nicely. Also, you should then adjust the lower left mounting hole (the one near LED1) a little upwards, so that it is in line with the lower right one (you might want to do this regardless).
