  1. Interesting part :) Makes me wonder if there are some nice actuators for them! Did you try your local distributor for samples?
  2. If you stare at it for a while it looks like a dinosaur ;) Original post is fixed now. More good reasons to keep documentation onsite........ </broken record>
  3. [me=stryd_one]does the "it's working" dance[/me] boops I hope you can share more details of your solution... you're not the first to have this problem, and I'm sure others will be in the same situation again ;)
  4. I'm not following this thread, just answering that one post.... Reply to the guy asking the question ;)
  5. Lots of apps screw up the ID. PICPgm is the tool of choice, but now we know there's another option :)
  6. http://svnmios.midibox.org/listing.php?repname=svn.mios&path=%2Ftrunk%2Fapps%2Fclockbox%2F Isn't it one of those? The one with 8 output support?
  7. Optrex STEP LCDs are my display of choice, they cost a fortune but look like it too.... but I seem to remember Wilba saying something about the mount holes being non-standard. Best to check...
  8. Don't suppose you asked yamaha and your local repair shop? They should be able to get these for you.
  9. Are you sure you need the MB64(e) application?
  10. Those darned optos again! Glad you got it rolling :)
  11. I'm guessing a dodgy multimeter might be playing a part in this.... Take nils' advice, but don't place too much faith in the meter, they're always a little inaccurate.
  12. Oh look, monopoly money :)
  13. http://www.reuters.com/article/innovationNewsTechMediaTelco/idUSTRE4913XK20081002 Hmm! Spotted by smash ;)
  14. Also there are several hits using the search terms I gave you last night of schems using a 766* ICs http://www.midibox.org/forum/index.php/topic,3540.msg23987.html#msg23987
  15. What's reichelt's minimum? It might pay to get some spares while you're at it....
  16. This post should probably get moved to the other thread full of tutorial links.... Can anyone find it? I think I'll also make it sticky this time, that thread has a habit of disappearing ;) Maybe instead of being so "creative" with the tags, it would be good to search for similar threads, and create a sensible tag (like "tutorial" or something) on each of them ;)
  17. PC specs? Java version? Is it a fresh install of java, or is it a reinstall or an upgrade? did you turn off the automatic update from the internet? What about other java apps? More info please :) Oh, and no, don't use midi-ox.
  18. [img width=600]http://staff.washington.edu/rrcc/uwweb/C128DCR/dcrkeybd.gif Have a schematic ;) Thanks to this guy: http://personalpages.tds.net/~rcarlsen/
  19. That's what SVN is for. I'll be happy to upload it there if you like, braintu? (But... Isn't it there already?)
  20. Maybe your PCA died...Tried w/ a bankstick? You could make a quick app that lets you enter some data to some address, or read data from some address, then you can test to see if it's reading and writing OK. Not sharing your PCA driver? :(
  21. I think the ROMs (532000) are standard rather than roland custom.... Is it just me, or does the silkscreen imply the possibility of adding more?
  22. LOL!!!! I sat there staring at that line for at least a minute like "Damn where have I heard that before?!"... Then I had a major flashback ;D
  23. The colour isn't the point of attraction in a PLED, it's the contrast ratio and the viewing angle. What BF has done, is what should be done with any display, be it a midibox, PC (CRT or LCD) or TV or whatever, first thing - set contrast about half way (probably defaults that way) turn the brightness up all the way (it'll be all washed out and yucky) turn the brightness down until the black is black, but no more turn the contrast up to compensate for the loss off brightness in the chars. tweak to taste (any changes needed will be fairly obvious after you've seen it go) That gets the contrast as high as it'll go on whatever display you've got. Gives it a nice bright character on a nice dark background :)
  24. Yer, sorry about the move. What happened exactly, is a long story, so I'll cut it short and just say: tortoiseSVN went berserk. I am not so sure that's the only bug either, as the pointers to that struct appear to be address 0. I'm not so sure the vars are correctly declared. Nice hack on the passphrase, thanks!
