MFs I dont know, but for the rest: encoders and so on nearly nothing ( about 30-50 mA for all including the core). LED rings: 20-30 mA LEDs : 20 mA LCD (with backlight): about 200-300 mA LCD without bl: about 30-50 I think I have all. These are maximum values. If you have your amount (e.g. 600 mA) always go to the higher value (e.g. 1A) to go sure (factor 1,5 to 2 is fairly enough).

I *think* I know what you mean. I had the same prob with rotation switches. Why not just cut that small piece off? Or if its made of metall or alu just saw it off?

Did anyone come across a distributor for round button knobs, which you can illumnate from the back (half transparent - "milchig" on german...)? Tried to make them myself, buuuut ... you know ... hmmm... they just dont look right and its kinda work... :-/

I got a 24x8 (!!!!!!!) display recently. It seems to be compatible, but there are still some things I gotta check out. (Up to now I`m even not sure if its working!). Holding th line... :)

Noe, Verbindungsloetungen musst du eigentlich nicht machen, ausser sie sind von Thorsten explizit auf der Platinenbestueckung angegeben (bei der Core ein Kabel glaub ich). 2. Fuer sowas muesstest du schon ein wenig mehr in MIOS einsteigen (z.B. den LC bauen - siehe UCApps Page), was ich dir als Anfaenger absolut nicht rate!! 3. Oem, Select-Taster? Oehm..... warum? I work with the Midisport 4x4 for 1 1/2 years now and encountered not any problems. I`m running under WIN2000. I`m absolutely satisfied with that device, I never experienced any bugs... Though I heard about problems with the Midisport under WinXP.

But the GNU is in .txt form for anyone who uses TKs code, so just read it, or not?

Only the SII one has 16 pins (which should be normal). I`ll try that one today, but the ALPS one has 8 and the Sharp one 11 ones (looks like a TFT anyway)... Any other ideas?

Hi there again! Back from holiday and again starting to rip my hair out of my head: I got some LCDs at Ebay. Now I am looking for the datasheets for them and cant find anything. Before I commit suicide I'll ask you, if anybody knows *anything* about these ones: ALPS NEA02040AA SHARP LM640311 (or LM64032) SII (=Seiko?) C338008 Are those standard ones? Datasheets? Working with MB? Thanx in advance, I'll get the rope ready to hang myself now (after looking for those datasheets now for 2 hours now). ;D

Öhhhhmmm, ich glaube du hast da was seeehr falsch verstanden im FAQ... ;) Die PCBs (also die fertig gedruckten Platinen) kannst du bei Mike´s PCB-Shop bestellen (Link ist auf der UCApps Page). Das sind fertige Platinen, die du da bekommst, du musst nichts einschicken und auch nicht mit Lochrasterplatinen rummachen (was ich dir als Anfänger auch absolut nicht empfehle - vor allem bei komlizierteren Schaltungen wie die Core oder so). Dann einfach nur noch diese PCBs nach dem Bauplan bestücken (gibts ja Bilder auf UCApps) und löten. Das wars dann. *Viel Glück!* :D

Öhm, will nix sagen, aber : 64 (!!) Potis = 64 x 0,5 = 32 Eu dazu Knöpfe (konnte mich nicht zurück halten, musste Alu . Knöpfe haben ... :) ) 64(!!) x 1,20 = 77 Eu LCD 4x16 + Taster = 35 PCBs (bei Mike) = insgesamt ca. 30 Eu Und dann halt noch die ganzen Bauteile (inklusive ein paar Banksticks) für ca. 50 Eu (wenn nicht mehr). Also so ca. 225 Eu, den ganzen Kleinkram nicht mitgerechnet. Und wenn du bedenkst, daß es sowas nur für sehr viel mehr Geld zu kaufen gibt ( ca. das 2-4 fache, kommt drauf an ), dann find ich bin ich supi weggekommen...

Yepp, but its JeriKo1. I dont know how much he has left, but it should definitely be under 100. So if you want some, PM him right now.

No, that just means that you have to make about 8 turnings to go from 0 to 127. But TK made some "fast" mode for Encoders (in the SID), which means that if you turn the encoder really fast, it is counting up 3 times faster (1,4,7,11...). Anyhow, you would still need about 2-3 rotations to go up to 127...

Nojo, ich bin halt a armer Student und muss deswegen unheimlich auf die Kohle achten. Deswegen Reichelt (ich schau sogar immer, das ich für mehr als 80 Euro bestell, sonst lohnt sich der Versand nicht). Noch ein Tip: Bei Texas Instruments (www.ti.com) kriegst du auch Samples. Da kriegst du zwar fast nur die Logik ICs (vor allem die 74HC Serie), aber was solls, sind trotzdem mal nebenbei 3-9 Euro gespart. Und keine Versandkosten. -> auch mal probieren! :) Und halt ebayebayebay. LCDs, Potis, Schalter usw = ebay... btw: Hab vor kurzem einen guten Deal mit ein paar LCDs gemacht. Ich muss nur mal schauen, was für welche das sind. Wenn ich das weiß und die Dinger zum Laufen krieg (evtl. sind ein paar auch defekt), sag ich hier nochmal Bescheid, da werd ich sicher ein paar auf Ebay reinstellen.
