  1. Depending on the price i'll take two pairs
  2. Ok, thanks for the explanation TK. I guess I'll have to wait and hope the ST team develop the required software.
  3. I know that this has been discussed before in relation to the MBSEQ app but I'd like to revisit this. Is it technically possible to add USB hub support when using the STM32F4 in USB Host mode? The reason I ask is that I'd like to develop MBNG app that would require the use of a USB a hub, i.e. Multipul USB/MIDI class compliant controllers. If there are limitations that would prevent hub support being added to existing apps a standalone app that allows the use of multipul USB MIDI devices connected to a STM32F4 core via a hub with the MIDI router functionality would be sufficent. I could use a separate core to run the MBNG app to do the processing. TK, I would love to know if this is a deadend idea.
  4. I also get the "MIDI Protocol TIMEOUT" message during boot when I have an Arturia Beatstep connected to my MBSEQ via USB OTG, though everything works correctly. I guess the message relates to the USB/MIDI host functionality.
  5. I spent some time on this tonight and I've fixed the problem. Though I'm not 100% sure, I think the actual LED matrix itself was faulty. I removed the matrix and tested all the joints with a meter and everything was fine. I inserted the matrix back into the PCB without soldering it in to see what would happen and some of the LEDs in the column in question came on. As I had another LED matrix at hand i put that in the PCB and the fault didn't occour, so I'm putting the problem down to the matrix. I've now replaced both LED matrices with new/better quality units and it's working perfectly.
  6. If there aren't any bad solder joints check that all the 74HC595 shift registers are seated correctly in there sockets and there aren't any bend pins that have failed to make contact, assuming that you are using IC sockets.
  7. I'm planning on ordering a Pactec PT10 case sometime in the near future which costs about half the minimum order value for free shipping.
  8. Yes, you an do this. The way it works is different to an MPC though but it is much more flexible. Rather than choosing a note resolution e.g. 1/8, 1/16 you choose a pattern. A pattern is filled with notes such as 1/8, 1/16 etc. The advantage of this approach is that you can edit the contents of the pattern and achieve repeat patterns that are "non-regular" and use things like the Euclidean generator to creat the patterns.
  9. This would be worth adding. I've never really used the 16 Level feature on the MPC but a lot of people do. Once agin, it's a simple idea that is very effective. Press a pad then press the 16 Levels button, each of the pads then have the same MIDI note assigned to it with varying velocity values. i.e. (I'm making these numbers up but it should illustrate the concept) Pad 1 (Note Number X) - Velocity 1 Pad 2 (Note Number X) - Velocity 7 Pad 3 (Note Number X) - Veloctiy 15 . . . Pad 16 (Note Number X) - Velocity 127
  10. I'm really loving the Fwd/Back/Replay & Repeat/Skip/Interval function in the Track Direction page but there is one thing I wish it could do...... Being able to switch these functions on and off with a single button press. If this is possible, how do I do it? If not, could the feature be added?

  14. That is the exact configuration I have with my STM32F4 based MBSEQ and it works great.
  15. How about "Transform", "Jam", "Improvise" or "Improv"? If there is space for more than 16 patterns it would be useful. The ability to name and store the patterns on the SD card as part of the session would also be helpful so that when you load a session you can be sure you will get the same pattern set that you had when the session was saved. If the patterns can be saved users could share their favorite patterns and a preset library could be made in various musical styles.
  16. The function now seem more unified now that they are consolidated into the Record menu, though I don't really think the tile Record is the right name for the menu it now.... In my mind this menu is now more about performance with recording being a secondary function. Would it be possible to have two pattern sets? One for Drum type tracks and a second set for note tracks?
  17. I had something even simpler in mind along the lines if the Mutable Instruments Midipal based around the Standard Control Surface for the UI and 1 or 2 pair of MIDI I/O and USB MIDI I/O that could be connected between a controller and another device. Really just a MIDI processor that has all the cool FX stuff out of the MBSEQ in a little box.
