  1. Real life > AY-3-8912. No hurry!
  2. Teaser: I got bored (like MTE obviously) and made diy-etchable layouts for the addon board in 5 different sizes. I'll upload the Eagle files, BOMs and .pdfs when I get back home :-)
  3. water (I'll get plenty as I'll spend the next week at my parents' lake house with my gf - good times ;D oh yeah, there's no internet there, so I'll be gone for a week.)
  4. The EEPROM stores a deciveID-like thingie as is optional ;)
  5. Basically because that way one couldn't use a straight 2x5 cable ;)
  6. I'm really just confused about the auction title: "MIDIbox SID 6581 CHIP commodore 64 MOS LSDJ NANOLOOP"
  7. cimo is right. Try both. Use the one you like better. If you (dis-)like them about equally use kicad cause it's free.
  8. hmm. The download is only about 10MB. Why don't you just try? ;)
  9. Short answer: Not at all. Long answer: By rebuilding the pcb in eagle/kicad/... and then generating the gerbers. You could just home-etch that thing. It's big, single-sided, ...
  10. [ X ] never rule out wiring problems. [ ] got pictures? [ ] any useful information? ;D Glad it's working now.
  11. Nope, wrong. They were originally called gheygaru :) (confirmed by a friend of mine)
  12. Nope. Waiting is still the way to go. Or DIY. You know - buy the parts from Mouser or so ;-)
Das wär ja irgendwie doof, was? Also in etwa der MIDI Loopback Test nur eben im Bootloader integriert. Näh. Eben. ^---- Alles nur meine kleine Meinung.
  14. lol
  15. No "priming" necessary. Just correct building and connecting. [ x ] got pictures? [ x ] got any usable info?
  16. Paid. Where are my chips???! :P
  17. Da man Kabel ja auch mittels Sockel auf den Encoder stecken kann und die nicht jedes Mal umlöten muss würde ich sagen: Probier doch einfach alle 6 Möglichkeiten aus, wenn Du partout nicht weiter weißt.
  18. I do, mainly because she's 500km away though ;)
  19. Tried other burning apps?
  20. Yes, but... Let's just say, there's a *lot* of ubuntu logos to remove in a *lot* of places...
  21. The same restrictions apply on (probably) all other distributions as well. You *can* modify and use it as you want, you just can't modify it and leave the "ubuntu" logo on it. No point discussing it - that's just the way it is.
  22. Whoa, whoa, whoa! You hold it right there Mr Tilted. Do not ever (ever, ever? ever, ever.) mention waving the magic voodoo chicken (hail the magic voodoo chicken! hail!) with tinfoil hats in one sentence. Waving the magic voodoo chicken (hail the magic voodoo chicken! hail!) is an ancient known-to-work highly sophisticated act of technological heritage, while wearing tinfoil hats is mere superstition that is only practiced by HiFi-loving know-it-alls. You better sacrifice some resistors to make sure the magic voodoo chicken (hail the magic voodoo chicken! hail!) is not too mad at you... It's not good to make the magic voodoo chicken (hail the magic voodoo chicken! hail!) mad! edit: Mooram, sooram, mooram, sooram!
