    Totally lost

No idea about the FPD on MacOSx. But if you just need a high res picture of it, let me know.
  3. The traces are 12mil. I'd go with 16+. Same goes for the "isolate" setting of the ground plane. Raise it to 16mil. Generally bigger is better with traces. You can add another plane to the top layer as an isolation plane - just a ploygon that's not named. And there's some airwires (== unrouted connections, the yellow lines), make sure to route those! It's getting there :D
  4. Did you try google? If so wth did you search for? I just threw some keywords at it and it spit out a whole bunch of shops that sell round plastic boxes. Guess what I searched for? Hint: round, plastic, box. Metal: Paint. Spraypaint is probably the easiest way. Paint has a tendency to dry and harden - no stickiness. The anti-paint-come-off stuff you're looking for would be primer. Plastic: Plastics and paint often don't play nice, depending on the plastic and the paint. Find out what material you're actually going to use, then find the matching paint.
  5. I didn't say it wasn't, now did I? Read. Think. Reply. Or don't (reply). Oh, and if you reply using quotes reference the stuff you quote.
  6. [me=nILS Podewski]cues comic-style trumpet clip: "mwuah mwuah mwuaaaaaaaaaaaaaah"[/me]
  7. I wanna get moved to the trash as well ;D
  8. Figures, don't it? It's the BGBC (=Big Group Buy Cheese)
  9. classically minimalistic: mbuntu
  10. Yep, that seems more like it. The LowCurrent LEDs from reichelt that I usually use take 2mA.
  11. mega bump
  12. If you've got a set date - lemme know! Always wanted to meet a real Italian ;D
  13. Manfred Mann's Earth Band is electronic music.... Rrrrrrrrrrrrrright.

  15. My suggestion would be to treat the changed core like any new core - measure voltages, check everything that can be checked, when all tests succeed - put in a PIC and opto.
  16. Stop antagonizing me. I didn't say they are bad in the first place, I said he shouldn't use them.
  17. Autorouters don't suck by definition. Most of them do. And most of the users suck at taming them. Look at your computers motherboard for a second. Do you think this was manually routed? I doubt it.
  18. [me=nILS Podewski]leaves troll mode. [/me]
  19. ...unless you try to make a point about the autorouter.
  20. That was not really the plan. I was merely trying to point out to bugfight, that an autorouter does create long, parallel traces and his "wrong" is wrong not really a good answer. Anyways I attached something (not the exact same layout as I hadn't saved it).
  21. Unwahrscheinlich.
  22. That a appears to be a generalisation. Generalisation is bad. Don't do it. Aaaaand, what cimo said.
  23. pfft. edit: okay, to keep this post from being totally pointless, see attached picture, layout generated by autorouter. I see long parallel traces.
  24. MIDI Troubleshooting, Act 3 [enter stranger] Stranger: This sure is weird, it should be right with all the Troubleshooting I've tried and still I get no Midi in this cursed core! [stryd_one interrupts] stryd_one: Oh boy! Don't sin! Don't blame the core! The problem is you haven't tested all of this! [nILS + stryd_one sing a duet] The optocoupler is the cause It always is, it always was REPLACE THE OPTO swift and quick! Beat the old one with a stick! It's always the opto, we tell thee! REPLACE THE OPTO [stryd_one sings in bass voice] stryd_one: and you'll see! [nILS and stryd_one dance off the stage, stranger looks around surprised] Stranger: Why thank you merry fellas! [off Stranger, curtain falls]
  25. Hmm the problem with the really nice table is that it's full of half-truths ;) For instance you don't *need* a lot of the modules in the SID row. Maybe this row (and some others) should get split up into multiple rows like SID (no control surface), SID (Step A control surface), ...
