Hey Jack ... wenn wir die Displays auch noch nehmen, muss ich Dir die Lieferungen per Sattelschlepper eines Speditionsunternehmens senden ;D Ich brauch 32 bis 40 Fader für meine LC und das "Blindenprojekt" http://69.56.171.55/~midibox/forum/index.php?topic=3179.0 Ich habe dabei an den K-Type gedacht, da er mechanisch viel robuster ausgeführt ist als der N-Type. Die zwei K-Typen unterscheiden sich vorallem im Preis :o und bei den Anschlüssen. Der "V-CP" hat einen eisenlosen Anker, was sich vorallem beim Bedienen bemerkbar machen soll (kein Ruckeln). Ich werde je ein Muster kaufen (in der Hoffnung, dass ich einen zurück geben kann und mir der andere zum Staffelpreis berechnet wird. Um sicher zu gehen, dass sie auch mit MIOS funktionieren, werde ich auf Thorstens Angebot zurück kommen und ihn fragen, ob er den ausgewählten Typ testen würde. Zusätzlich werde ich noch 3 von den High-Speed Motorpots nehmen und mir daraus einen Joystick bauen. Welchen Typ brauchst Du? Greets, Roger

Hey Does anybody know, why the MF supply voltage is regulated down to 8V. The ALPS specification is typical 10V. Wouldn't the motor react quicker with 10V... or is this exactly the problem? Would the fader react too quick and we would end up with jitter? Greets, Roger

Greets, Roger PS: Ich habe in einem Posting schon mal gelesen, dass jemand mit 5k lin. Potis (nicht motorisiert) keine Probleme hatte. Ob dies mit motorisiertem Joystick auch so ist? Dies zu testen, wäre mir für €275 zu teuer ;) Ich bin mir am Überlegen, ob ich den Joystick Mechanismus selbst anfertigen soll und dazu als antrieb die High-Speed Motorpots verwenden soll.

... their prize is pretty competitive. But I think you get better ones from Albs when you take large quantities. Those motorized pots are the slow type from ALPS... you don't want that. They're stated to have 12 sec./300° :( I bet, the quick ones which have 1sec./300° are unpayable :P O.k. regarding Thorstens statement I'll start an international bulk order for following faders in the next days (as soon as I receive the prices froms albs.de): - RSAOK11V9 CP - RSAON11M9 ... I think nobody wants the 60mm fadertravel type !?! I would need "distributors" for the different countries, since post packs to other countries is pretty expensive from Switzerland. So I would send "sub"-bulks to someone, which have to further distribute the faders (by national mail, which is much cheaper) Greets, Roger

I think I read somewhere that there is a Motormix and/or HUI application running on MIOS (search the forum and read the LC notes) Problem: If you have read the "future incompatibilities" notes contained in the ProTools installer CD (V6.4)... HUI, Motormix and others won't be supported in the future >:( I'm even not shure about those fader boxes are still supported in the current 6.7 Version. (We're still working with 6.4 since in 6.7 is a bug which makes it impossible to work with the Native Instruments PlugIns) ... so before someone even should think about supporting those bandits from digidesign with their way too expensive TDM system (at least it runs pretty stable), he should first analyse their marketing strategies. Hehehe... easy for you 8) ... not for me :P I don't have the knowledge to evaluate what transistor to choose and so on. I hardly understand why a circuit is built the way it is by looking at the shematics. What are the steps? I think the vibrating unit runs on 3V, since most of the mobile phones have 3V batteries. Should I just supply it with 3V DC (with a security resistor) and measure the current? Is there an online information source with design tips for such "easy" circuits? Greets, Roger Greets, Roger
